Hello.  If you have a moment at some point this busy Tuesday, could we join together in prayer?

Today is the Troy Davis Global Day of Action, and we will pray for Troy, of course.  But moreover, let us pray for are all people who feel worthy to determine who else is worthy of life, even without hearing a condemned man's case.  They are in more trouble than Troy today.  Here is a song:

JESUS IS LOVE

To the judges and Parole Board members, governors, and grieving family members who feel that it is acceptable to execute people without fully hearing their defense, here is a message for you on Troy Davis' Global Day of Action.  However, this message is not being sent on Troy's behalf only, but for all of us who count on you to be fair and uphold justice, and to please balance your decision-making with compassion.  What our leadership needs to remember is that some day, we're all going to do exactly what the Bible said:

YOU REAP JUST WHAT YOU SOW

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. ~ Luke 6:38

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  ~ Matthew 25:40

We all need mercy at some point in our lives.
Bridge the gap for your fellow man whenever you can.  Think of it - 17 years is a long time, especially on death row.  Saying final goodbyes to one's family three times is hard punishment.  Even if Troy Davis is guilty (which I doubt), consider the debt he has paid already - his youth, his hopes for freedom dashed repeatedly, and 17 years of incarceration under a death sentence.  If not a new trial, then please pardon Troy Davis.  Even if Davis is guilty, he has paid dearly for many, many years.  If there is still a balance due, then please consider this:

Jesus Paid
