MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SECOND LOOK

Second Look's new program, the Fluoride Toxicity Research Collaborative (FTRC) is proud to announce its new FTRC WebCenter. This long-awaited website-within-our-website is finally here, offering information and help concerning fluoride poisoning in individuals. http://www.slweb.org/ftrc.html

This unique and dynamic addition to SLweb.org will be updated regularly. Features include: compelling Personal Stories by or about individuals affected by fluoride poisoning; Symptoms of fluoride poisoning and a Self-help Protocol; a special Fluoride Poisoning Bibliography; Links to helpful websites; and the beginnings of an Index of Fluorinated Pharmaceuticals that will eventually offer information useful for medical researchers and non-professionals alike. Also included are a News and Events page, a Research and Publications page, and an explanation of FTRC's Programs and Goals.

In addition, our revised SLweb.org pages now offer a Bulletin Board on which we post announcements and other information of immediate importance. Currently, we are announcing our first Second Look/FTRC-sponsored journal publication and FTRC's new Medical Director.

If you are wondering how important fluoride poisoning is to the general public, or what does it really have to do with water fluoridation, please consider this: new revelations are happening all the time about the impact fluoride from many sources can have on health. We all now know of a scandal over new information about a fatal bone cancer in young men and its relationship to fluoridated water. More and more people are discovering that certain chronic diseases and allergies from which they have been suffering may be linked to the fluoridated water to which they are exposed. Also, the "invisibility" of fluoride as a toxic substance has kept many people extolling its alleged benefits through water fluoridation. FTRC can help change that perception.

We predict that as the tide continues to turn against water fluoridation, many people will realize that their ailments may be caused or worsened by fluoride, including fluoridated water. By that time, FTRC will be the established authority and link for help for these many people.
