I'm no longer going to post articles or news on the News Network. It seems that not very many people read it, so why bother? I have a few really good friends who "note" my news fairly regularly, and imagine they actually do read the post, but I feel my time could be used more fruitfully. I've posted many hundreds of News Network stories, articles, etc, and at one time really enjoyed sharing things there that I felt were important - 95 percent positive news, imho. I think many News network users would rather wallow in negative news. It's sad to me. End of story! Peace, Larry

Thanks to everyone who has noted my news posts. I apologize for not noting other people's news as much as I'd like to, but I'm working at home with slow dial-up internet, which makes noting frustratingly slow. When I get my better computer fixed and can use it in town in my fav WIFI cafe, I'll try to catch up with all the return notes I owe you all!

Namaste, Larry

I'm sick of all the commercial spamming at the the News Network!!!

Responsible users of the News Network...Please help stop this misuse of this important service:

1. Check link of the article.
If it's a commercial site, with no news that fits the stated purpose of the News Network, flag the article as spam (or whatever the offending nature of article is).

2. Check the profile of offending poster.

Bogus profiles are being created for the sole purpose of posting spam to the News Network. Check the News Submitted of the bogus profile. If it's a list of only commercial spam postings, FLAG the profile at the bottom of the profile.

Please take the time to report these irritating posts. The more we stay on top of these bogus spammers, the less we'll have to look at the crap, cluttering up the News Network. I have received notice from Care2 Admin that they do follow-up on these bogus posters/spammers.

Thanks and Peace, Larry

Please use this awesome News Network to post REAL news, not Spam. I'm personally tired of seeing all this bogus "news" here. I know of Care2 members who have stopped using this service because of all this spam or commercial postings. I value the service enough to see if a poster is using it for commercial spam, and report them to Admin if necessary. I hope other concerned and caring members will also check them out and report. If you, the poster of this "news" is a real person, who doesn't know the News Network's purpose, then I apologize for this "rant." Here's what the News Network states at the top of this page: "socially conscious news and video shared and rated by the community" Thanks for respecting this important service! Peace, Larry
