We've been reporting about the Fair Trade Towns movement in our Co-op America Quarterly, and last fall we told you how the movement has coalesced enough in the US to host its own organizational Web site now.

As of last fall's reporting, the second Fair Trade town in Brattleboro, Vermont  had just been established, thanks largely to the efforts of our business member Kusikuy.  The good news is that in the time since then, Fair Trade advocates in three other cities – Milwaukee, WI; Ameherst, MA; and Taos, NM – have launched the third, fourth, and fifth Fair Trade towns.

A Fair Trade town commits to city-wide purchasing of Fair Trade products, when possible, and to the promotion of Fair Trade as a community.   Several other of our Green Business Network™ members are working to make their towns Fair Trade.   You can join them!
