About 5 years ago I had to give "my baby" to a friends, as my husband had passed and I was moving to another city to live with my son and his wife.
I've always had animals - and loved them!  Theres nothing like a Lap Dog to comfort you when you don't feel good!
Our dog, Candy, we found at the pound.  She's a cute, small, Benji-type dog.
She had been abused, and we gave her lots of love.
She wet a lot, the vet said from nerves, so we loved her a lot.
She had special dietary needs, we bought the foods and medicines, and loved her a lot.
In return, she did her best to protect us, a small dogs yap isn't as ferocious as a bigger dogi, but she gave what she had.

When I started getting sicker, she was there in return, to love me a lot - and it helped!
I just don't understand how people can abuse animals - are they also abusive to people?  Or do they just pick on animals as they're not covered by laws?

Where I live now, we can't have pets - except things like fish - so I have some, but its not the same.

I really miss candy - hope she's okay, I know she's loved, because of the home she went to.
