If you live outside the US and haven't gotten an absentee ballot (yet), you can still vote.

Go to www.fvap.gov/pubs/onlinefwab.html, scroll down to the bottom, and download the PDF file. Like the web page, this PDF file contains some instructions. Be sure to read them.

You should be able to fill out this ballot right in your computer. Just click on the fields and type away. Whatever you type in will print out with the rest of the ballot. As this is a very generic ballot, you will need to type in both the name of the office and the name of the candidate you are voting for. The same goes for any issues which might be on your local ballot. If you don't know the names and offices of the lesser offices, you can probably get these from the web somewhere, perhaps even from your local county Board of Elections. For example, if you lived in Cuyahoga County in Ohio, you would go to boe.cuyahogacounty.us/electioninfo/ballots/default.htm where you will want to select your city within Cuyahoga County. You will then be able to view/download a sample ballot and use this to get the names of the offices and candidates and issues which are on the ballot for your particular city. If your county's Board of Elections doesn't have this information available on the web, use your favorite search engine, e.g., Google. Wherever you get the candidates' names and offices, type these into the Federal Write-In Ballot.

After you fill in and print out the Federal Write-In Ballot, put it into one envelope and seal it; on this envelope write "SECURITY ENVELOPE". Then place this envelope into another envelope and address it to your home county's Board of Elections. Note that you must mail it. Do not fax it.

Be sure to have it postmarked before the end of Election Day.

Thanks for voting.
