Recently I have gotten network messages (actually, I am one of 25 friends that are receiving the same message) from friends asking me not to send "forwards", petitions, news to note, etc. I understand how they feel. I don't ask people not to send me anything because I don't want to hurt a friend, but to be honest, I do have to delete alot without reading it, because of so many duplicates.
Network messages are supposed to be an easy way to communicate personally with our friends. Activist alert shares are supposed to be used for petitions, etc.
We are all busy and maybe we should all take a moment to think before we FORWARD every news story to be noted or every petition to be signed. Doesn't it make more sense to be a little selective? Otherwise, we are spamming our friends.
We all belong to petition groups and can go to the News Network and note the stories that we really want to see reach the front page.
Please don't get mad at me for bringing this up because I think everyone is thinking the same thing. How am I going to get through all of these messages?
