To My Fellow Americans:

When I hear this question, I don't even have to think about it. I know the answer: YES!

The policies of the Bush Administration had failed miserably. The stock market was in a FREE FALL, our men and women in uniform were dying needlessly in Iraq, deregulation had brought us to the brink of a full blown DEPRESSION. Both the automobile and housing industry were near death. They could even find Osama bin Laden!

Why does any reasonable person think that we could return to the same prosperity that we had last enjoyed in 2001 in only 4 years?
It takes time.

When you begin a journey, sometimes it takes longer than you thought it would for various reasons. However, you don't stop half-way and turn back. You keep going until you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I agree when President Bill Clinton basically says that it would make no sense to go back to the FAILED polices that got us into this mess in the first place.

We would be in a better position today if the Republicans had not taken control of the House of Representatives in the 2010 election. They have deliberately stalled the recovery. The credit rating of the United States of America was LOWERED because the House waited too long to increase the debt ceiling something that had been routinely done because it simply allowed payment of our nation's obligations. There was never a question that it would be done but the extremists in the Tea Party faction of the Republican Party felt it was more important to try and destroy President Obama than help get our country back on track.

This is important: Don't just vote for Obama in November but vote for all Democrats because a Republican controlled Congress will not care if the ecomony is stalled until in next election 2016!

So how many homes does Mitt Romney own?

The rich-guy image continues to hamper Romney, to the point that Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly asked him about it this week. His answer: "Guess what? I made a lot of money."

Romney's personal real estate includes six homes: one in La Jolla, two in the Boston area, a ski lodge in Utah and two lakeside residences in New Hampshire.

When Romney's name then came up in the 2008 McCain campaign's private veep discussion -- they couldn't go to the country with a Republican ticket that owned 14 houses between the two of them," the source said. "That knocked Romney off the list right there."

Dear Fellow Democrats,

The election is less than 3 months away. We really need to get our message out quickly. Therefore, I want to try to host this group without using the moderated format.

So, please, let's work together to turn ALL FIFTY STATES to BLUE!

Thanks,

Kristi K.

Flexible new rules will enable you to post anything pertinent to the Democratic Party. It will no longer be necessary to confine your posts to topics that can be discussed at the group. This main goal is to get the word out that we are the voice of the future and turn every state BLUE in Election 2012.

This group has been MODERATED for years now. I'm going to give it a try as UNMODERATED and see how it works.

If you haven't visited this group for a while, c'mon back!

Thanks,

Kristi K

Larry Ottoviani has lost his job after seven years with the 7 Up Bottling Company in Sacramento, CA, for feeding hungry cats.

As the father of a dependent adult child with severe physical disabilities, and the husband of a woman with a debilitating illness, he found solace in taking care of those cats. And he's been working for several years with the Sacramento SPCA on a trap/neuter/return program to help them.

Ottoviani should not have been fired. Please sign our petition to demand that he be reinstated.

Every election most Christians are duped into voting for the party who they have been brainwashed into believing represents moral values. This is a hoax.

What would America look like if the Republican leadership had it's way? There would be no middle class at all. The Republicans rail about keeping the government off the backs of people but what this really means is they want all regulations protecting worker's rights and the environment to be eliminated so that massive profits can be achieved at the expense of the working class.

Visit any Walmart in America and take a good look at their employees. They are the working POOR. Millions of good paying jobs have been outsourced because of SLAVE labor available in India and other third world countries. The Republicans want to abolish the Environmental Protection Agency. This is truly outrageous! All in the name of greed!

The Christian vote is controlled by a Republican promise of outlawing all abortions even though the Supreme Court made a decision in 1972 with Roe v. Wade that protected the basic reproductive rights of women while assuring that legal abortion  recognized the stages of development and set reasonable limits in the last two trimesters of pregnancy. Why is this still an issue? The Republicans figured out a way to attract and keep Christian voters by constantly trying to pass laws to erode a Supreme Court decision in hopes of one day staying in power long enough to pack the Court with narrow minded Justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade. It won't happen.

The Democrats stand behind ALL keeping familes together. Yes, sometimes this means families where the parents have come to this country many years ago by walking across the border. Immigration reform is needed to make the path of citizenship less expensive and lengthy. Yes, this also includes gay couples who are only trying to stay together as a family.

The Republicans also want to dictate WHICH people are truly Christians. They want the Morman vote but not a Morman candidate for President. This is why both Romney and Huntsman both Conservatives are begging for support within their own party. Wake Up Mormans! Harry Reid, a Morman, is both a Democrat and the Senate Majority Leader. Is the Republican Party really deserving of your support?

If the Republicans had not gained control of the House of Representatives in 2010, we would be out of this recession today. All they are concerned with is regaining the White House. In 2001, when George Bush took office we were arguing about what to do with the surplus. They gave us tax relief for the wealthy and massive debt by starting unnecessary wars.

If you are a millionaire and don't care about anyone but yourself, keep voting for Republicans. Everyone else, wake up before the America that we love disappears forever.

Christmas is never the appropriate time to let an employee know that you would love for them to quit!

I had a dear friend who worked for Terrix Financial Corporation in Beverly Hills for a little over 11 years. She received a modest bonus at Christmas from 1996-2005. Then, she turned 60 years old in June of 2006 and guess what? No bonus in 2006 or 2007. And thanks to employment-at-will laws, she was "let-go" January 4, 2008. This experience took an emotional toll on her.

Protect yourself and avoid working for a company with less than 3-5 employees in California. They are exempt from even discrimination laws. Ask any employment attorney.

Merry Christmas
