A local battery farm on the Central Coast of NSW is soon to be clearing out it's sheds. That means that the poor hens, who have been stuck in these disgusting cages for 2 years will then be hauled out and sent to slaughter.

We have the rare opportunity to rescue as many of these hens as we can. A lovely lady has nominated us for a grant from SunSuper and if we manage to win this, along with our own money we should be able to rescue 700 hens over the next couple of months.

The last time we did a rescue we managed to save 320 hens and we know we can rescue many more this time if we get this grant.
