Margaret A's Sharebook 

Care2 member, Josie, is an average citizen of Bandung, Indonesia who struggles to rescue strays and feral cats where she lives. There are no animal welfare laws nor are there many there that even stop to help animals in need. But Josie has taken in, cared for, and saved as many as she can, in spite of complete lack of funds and very little help.

This Journal entry from her June 24th is a tribute to her father and her memory of saving one suffering kitten from the streets of Bandung while riding her bike home late from restaurant work (-midnight-) with street thugs eyeing her as possible game!

Here's to Josie and The Whiskers' Syndicate, her hopeful creation of the first organization to save, spay, and neuter in Indonesia. While most of us cannot afford to donate to her, I guarantee she will greatly appreciate kind words and emotional support as she takes on a seemingly impossible task.
