Something we can do on holidays is visit Women Shelters, Halfway Houses, Missions, Homeless Shelters... etc. We can take our love and share it with those who are living through the hardest point in their life during the holidays.

We can knit, crochet, cook, bake, etc... presents for these people who most likely have nothing... no family... no hope... no personal belongings... We can volunteer our time... We can take books and magazines we've already read.

There is so much we can do for others during this time of the year and believe it or not, if you are hurting, feeling lonely or feeling depressed... this can help heal you too. It can lift you up and fill you with Love.

So, don't psyche yourself out... Find a way to reach out to others and I think we'll all be surprised how others then start to reach out to us.

Wishing you all a life full of Love, Light and Laughter!

The Complaint of Wiccan Rights to George W. Bush ----------------- >

View Current Signatures   -   Sign the Petition

To:  George W. Bush
To whom it may concern:

We, the undersigned wish for the following:

-for George W. Bush, who is president in 2005 to retract his statement "The military should rethink their position. ...[Wicca is] not a religion." on Good Morning America in 1999 AND

-Recognise Wicca as a true and valid religion as defined by national law AND

-To recognise that the main law of Wicca and many newer forms of Witchcraft being "These words thou shall fufill;/if it harm none, do as ye will" equates a right to be a conciencious objector for religious reasons AND

-To allow and employ a number of Champlains/Preists/Preistesses appropiate to the number of Wiccan soldiers. (One for every twelve.)

If there is no reaction by 2007, the creator of this petition will file a Civil Rights suit on grounds of:

-Discrimination on account of religion AND

When the list has reached 1,000 signees, the petition creator will send letters to every national news publication that is relevent to this cause, such as Time Magazine, US Today and a number of others containing this petition and list of signees.

To send your Valentine(s), please follow the guidelines listed on the menu.

Shauna Fleming, 16, (pictured right) was given a challenge by the former Chairman of  the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Ret General Richard Myers, to collect another million thank you letters, notes, and Valentines for our troops. She is taking his challenge and is asking individuals, schools, churches, and businesses around the U.S. to participate by having their students, congregations, and customers write a letter, email message, letter or prayer and mail it or bring it to any of the drop off  locations listed on the menu. We will forward it to a service man or women here and abroad.

Wishing everyone a very joyous Yule.
May your day be full of love, light and laughter.

Rebirth of Light.
The longest Night has passed.
Do not fear the darkness.
He has returned at last.

For many, this is the time of year when the God of Light is reborn. Let us celebrate this rebirth with a bountiful feast, gifts to our loved ones and lots of love and laughter. The long night of winter is shorter and every day from this day forward will be longer. Spring is just over the horizon and nature will be blooming before we know it. Hold on to the hope of Spring and cherish the return of the Light.

Brightest Blessings to you and yours!

How to Draw Hair

One of the biggest problems I see with beginner portrait drawings is problem hair. Usually, we try to draw each hair as a strand, with a single pencil-stroke. This looks wiry and unnatural. The trick with drawing hair is to focus on drawing the areas of light and shade, looking for the shadows on sections of hair or under the hair. Correctly drawn hair makes a huge difference to a drawing, so its worth spending some time on it.

This tutorial shows you How to Draw Short and Long Hair.
