awaiting love

the tree is close to me
the tree is in infinity
you,you,you
my love
are as a tree
tall and strong
and rooted
you,you,you
my love
are as a tree
to me
the tree is close to me
the tree is in infinity
you,you,you
my love are as a tree
pillar of the forest
spirit of the air

you,you,you
my love
are as a tree
to me
the tree is close to me
the tree is in infinity
but
i need to remember
skin is not bark
and soft hair
not leaves
and eyes
knot wood
i want to feel
your warm body
to hear your warm breath
and sense your eyes upon me
i need to feel your vibrating heart
taste your dew
smell you
the tree is close to me
the tree is in infinity
i had a dream that
i,i,i, my love
nestled in your branches
where it's safe and warm
i had a dream
that i was a bird my love
my spirit flew to you in the night

tree

oh, if i were a tree
for what i would see
generations of children
would sit beneath me
at night i would hear
the soft tread of lovers feet
on my leafy bed
and will sing softly in the wind
in summer, i will homely be
for man or beast, bird or bee
and in winter, when i rest
and my true shape is visible
even then, to an artist
i will impress my beauty
for that is the duty
of a tree

jasmin

sitting in a circle
playing white music
through stary trumpets
you send as you sway
in the gentle night breezes
filling all with your sensual spirit
when i am hot you cool me
when i am cold you warm me
when i am sad you soothe me
when i am happy you ascend me
some are known to make sweet tea with you
but i like best to wear you in my hair
when i am making love
my special flower

to woman kind

there is a goddess in our hearts
at night when our spirit parts
she lends her wings
and teaches us to fly

there is a goddess in our minds
at times when our spirit opens
she lends us her eyes
and teaches us to see

there is a goddess in our ears
when we are attentive to others
she lends us her understanding
and teaches us to hear what is unspoken

there is a goddess in our voice
when we speak of love
she lends us her song
and teaches us to soothe

there is a goddess in our hands
when we wish to calm and heal
she lends us her fingers
teaches us the magic of touch

there is a goddess in our feet
when we dance
she lends us her grace
teaching us the silver forms of motion

there is a goddess in our lips
a goddess in our hips
a goddess in our breasts
a goddess in our nest, our womb
there is a goddess within us

badger mother

my friend the badger
she knows how to trust
believes in her own intuition
so focused on
everything is within
this world is only an illusion
her coat velvet black
and pearly irridescent
reflects the sky moon and stars above
her energy is wild
her energy is sweet
she integrates both
she can be righteously
and fiercely protective and alert
as well as loving
and peaceful and meditative
without splitting in two
