Drifting away...


Here in the stillness at the start of
the day

Leaving all of my burdens and problems
 behind

I find myself drifting, just drifting away

Here in that quiet place,
 I hold deep inside

A place I can relax

This is a safe place

There is nothing I need to hide

Here I sit

Pen in hand, and paper with my heart
 open wide

Ready to write the thoughts

That come from so deep inside

Like someone is sending me dictation

Those words, I need to write

Yes, this is a safe place

Nothing is impossible

Anything can be tried

No need to be low on confidence

Or shy about thoughts, we often tend
to hide

With pen in hand, and paper at my side

I begin my Journey

Sharing those thoughts from deep inside

In this place that fills me up again

When life has worn me down

A place where there is total trust

Here my heart can open wide

A place where joy and peace, can still
 be found

Here there is nothing I need to hide

Before I know it, I'm at total peace

And Balance I have found

Here I find myself with a smile on
my face

Where there was once a frown

I just drift away

To that place that fills you up

When life has worn you down
