I have been reading a lot of articles on animals who have been abused and their abusers are not brought to justice, are given nothing more than a slap on the wrist or they are not even caught and it has upset me.  As I am sure there are a lot of you out there who are equally upset by stories where it seems that the animal suffers and dies while their abusers get off with a slap on the wrist.

Last night my father told me a story of his youth that brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart.  It involved how he aquired one of his cats, Brumhilda.

My father was 25 years old at the time, 6'4 and could bench press 300lbs.  He was out for a strole when he came upon a man attempting to murder a little kitten.  Apparenly this cruel sick person was trying to squish her.

My dad calmly walked up to the man grabbed him by the collare picked him up, spun him and slammed him so hard into a brick wall he thought he was going to be stick.  The man was dazed and rolled off the wall, my dad was ready to take him if he came at him, but the coward ran as fast as he could.  Cowards only hurt things that are smaller than them, but run in fear when confronted by a more powerful opponent.  My Dad says had the man wanted to fight my dad would have taught him a lesson he would have never forgot.

Once the man ran away my dad scouped up the little kitten, brought her to the vet to make sure she was alright then adopted her.  I remember her as a small child she was a very sweet cat with incredible markings.

Remember,  cowards will always run when confronted with confidence and true strength.  Never be afraid to comfront someone when they are doing something wrong.  If more people spoke out about the injustices of the world and challenged those who do wrong, the world would be a better place for everyone.  Wink
