Part 1
Hi Everybody: I had something unusual happen to me the other day. I had received a very funny joke from my sister that had me laughing really hard. That night as I was falling asleep I started thinking about the joke again and started laughing again and fell asleep with a SMILE. That night I had great dreams and woke up with a SMILE. I thought that it was amazing. I now consciously go to sleep with a SMILE and have great dreams and awake with a SMILE. Tonight as you fall asleep no matter how bad or good your day has gone think of something that will bring a SMILE as you fall asleep. It could be a funny joke, the SMILE of a young child, thinking of a loved one or many other things. Try it, you may be surprised. As I go to sleep I ask my self if I am smiling and then proceed to smile and I feel the corners of my mouth turning up to a grin. If it works for you pass it on to family and friends. Take care. Tony
Part 2
I wrote the first part on Feb 26 with some additional things and since then I have been asking my Taxi customers if they have gone to sleep smiling? I have received some interesting answers. When they ask why I then proceed to mention Part 1
2 weeks ago I had a customer who told me she was having nightmares. I asked her if there was something funny that she liked to see or hear. She told me that she loved the movie Throw Momma From The Train with Billy Crystal. It really cracks her up. I then told her to think of that Movie before she went to sleep and maybe it will drive the nightmares away.
I am hoping that one day I will mention Part 1 to a customer and they will mention that I already asked them that on a previous trip and then I will ask them for their feedback. As they leave my cab I remind them to remember to fall asleep SMILING
Many of them say they will try it. This world could use a lot more SMILES.
If anyone who I am writing to has tried it, please e-mail me back and tell me what happened. I would appreciate it. Take Care. Tony
