Because birds aren't included in the only laws that protect animals at slaughter (even though they make up more than 98 percent of the animals eaten in the U.S.), KFC can get away with abusing chickens in these hideous ways. As a leader in the industry, it's up to KFC to make sure that its birds aren't being tortured.
Being a "Pink" lover, i was naturally drawn to this (and other related articals) despite the fact that i HATE! news. Anyway, that's the great thing about "star power" they can get there fans (like me) interested in almost anything!

That's why it's so great when a celebrity uses that power in a positive way. I'm so proud of Pink for what she's done. So, please show your support too, by signing her pettition AGAINST KFC CRUELTY!

So, what am i thinking of now? Well, i just came on-line for the usual reasons (checking email etc..), when i noticed a headline in the "Entertainment" corner of the yahoo! page, which read "Famed Producer, Aaron Spelling Dies at 83" Although, i'm not one for news, it's not unusual for me to devaour (sp) a good deal of entertainment news.

However, i got to thinking, Aaron Spelling was more than just a producer, her was a creator. Oh, sure many of his shows were based  on the ideas of various writers, but he brought them to life through finanial support and  imagery. And, as far as i know, he has more shows to his name than any other producer to date. In addition, his shows were some of the most long-running in history (think 7th Heaven). But, i guess quantity and long gevety (sp) (don't have time to check spelling right now) weren't enough for his shows to escape the scrutiny of critics, who would poke fun at the self-proclaimed pet-name for his shows, "mind candy", reffering to them instead as "mindless candy". Mindless or not, his shows were doubtlessly pioneering.

Did you know that one of the first feminest shows on TV was "Honey West", a show about a kick-butt female detective...

Now, call me crazy, but i say that's not only "mind candy" but "eye candy" aswell. So, when did all the teasing stop, when did he blossom into the lexecon of American television that we think of today? Well, the first answer is NEVER! And, the second answer is Dynasty!

Dynasty was thought of as the apitamy (sp) of 80's style and addittude, which is just one of the reasons why it was considered by many as his greatest acheivement. In addition, it was at one time, generating more veiwers than any other show on TV!

You can nearly always tell an Aaron Spelling show, not by the subject matter, but by the "running time". All his shows but one, were 60min long. Speaking of which, it is interesting to note that despite his abundance of programming success',  his one attempt at a 30min sitcom, "Life with Lucy"...

ended (after 8 episodes) as a flop. It not only marked the end of any more sitcoms by Aaron (luckily, for his sake), but it also spelled "the end" to Lucille Ball's 30+ years  on television. Sorry, Lucy Smiley

Anyway, don't get me wrong, i perffer a good 30min sitcom to any hour-long saga, sappy soap-opera, or kick-butt crime fighters. However, i'm just thankful that he stuck to his tried-and-true talants. After-all, the world needs a little "mind candy!" He lives on...

There, you have it!  Just a taste of what i've been thinking. Just chose a thought at random; i figure i got a blog, might as well use it! So, now i'm exhusted! May not hear from me in a while...reason? Publication of my book. Gotta at least get something done before late August. Wish me luck!

Ta'ta tile then.

I love this quote "When scientific theory says something's wrong with so many people, perhaps the theory is wrong, not the people." It comes from a very interesting artical i just read, about a biologist who's new-found data may be just the thing end all doubt about homosexuality as a natural part of existance.

In conclusion, the artical goes on to say:

"Roughgarden's cataloging of sexual diversity has challenged a fundamental biological theory. If Darwinian sexual selection—whatever its current variant—is to survive, it must adapt to this new data and come up with convincing explanations for why a host of animals just aren't like peacocks."

The complete artical can be found here:

Dear friends,

I just happened to be knocked offline before i had the chance to cancel my account. Then, i came on here today to cancel it, and found a few very thoughtful messages, which helped me to change my mind. Care2 is a great site, and i would've regreated leaving anyway. As for acheiving balance between great sites, i'll just have to make a few adjustments.

I'll fix it so that any post from my other blog, gets sent here, that way, i can stay connected.

Thanks to everyone for there thoughtfulness.

Truly,
Storybellz.

Dear friends,

I have really enjoyed being part of the care2 community, but now with my  blog too, i feel a little thinly-spread. I just can't seen to handle 2 sites at once. Besides, it wouldn't be fair for me to be a part of this "social network" unless i can give 100% That's why, as much as i hate to, i must let go. But, not before saying goodbye. You all have been really  super! It's been fun! And, don't worry, i'll continue to support my causes via the newsletters and petitions.

Truly,

Storybellz.

I've had so many thoughts lately... I thought it would be  nice, just to type something. But, the thing about me is, I don't like to leave a trail on the internet. I don't want to be scattered!

So, i've just been putting this off for quite some time, because, I already have 3 email address', including this, i have 3 internet ids, so, i'm feeling i bit sloppy.

As a result, i've just deleted my Care2 email; i figure, with my other address', who needs it? The thing is, i like to be organized- one email address for each purose: personal, social, business. Plus, one profile for each purpose, personal and social... it just  goes on and on...rambling.

Hello Friends,

I've decided to do something that i should have done a long time ago,,,I've decided to share one of my photo-albums with everyone. The album contains some of my favorite photos of someone who is probably one of the world's most unsung singers ever!!

Her name is Nooshafarin, and she's a Persian pop-star, who's full of talent. Unfortunitly though, both her fame, and  fans there-of do not extend beyond the borders of her culture. Not only is that sad, but, it's unfair too. Because, if talent is universal, there  should be no borders; and if music is the language of the world, then the world should be familiar with her music. I realize the concept of world-fame is a bit extreme and unnesesary, but, it's just my way of saying "She's fantastic!! Take a look!!

What's so great about her...Well, aside from the fact that she's absolutely beautiful, she also sets a great example of culture and feminine strength. I mean, talk  about a socialogical experiance! She's been around the world!!

She's origanally from Iran, and as everyone knows, a great deal of human-rights issues have occured there, ever since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, at which time, Iran became the word's first modern-day, theocratically ruled government.

As a result of the change of laws, and loss of freedom in her homeland, Nooshafasrin was faced with the ultimate ultimatum... ethier she had to leave her country, or give-up the life-style she loved so dearly, which included freedom, and the right to sing.

Unwilling to infringe on her love of life and music, eventually, Nooshafarin did leave, settling first in India, then in Canada, and finally in the U.S., where she resides today. In a world filled with danger, particullarly for women, Nooshafarin faced it head-on, embarking on places she had never been before, learning things along the way.

Naturally, there was a period of adjustment between being a foreigner, and feeling at home; and, although she'll always love her birth-place, eventually, she learned that home is where the heart is, and her heart is with her freedom, and, part of that freedom is music...

The point is, no matter what the risk, Nooshafarin took it in the persuit of music... She Embarked on the unknown, and came half-way across the world just to sing! So, shouldn't we listen?!!  Click on the following links to hear two of her album previews:
