We were going to post on her today anyway, but instead of writing our own message (who are we kidding, we always write a book regardless), we are going to print a copy of an email received from Heather Ballance, a photographer from Atlanta who has been to Carol's, met and photographed all her dogs. To have Rainsville kill even a single dog will be a knife in the heart of Heather and every volunteer who has been working with Carol to find homes for the dogs.

If you follow the links, you can read more about the work party and adoption day they have planned for Saturday. They need more rescues and adopters to come forward before it is too late for all of these well-cared for and much loved dogs.

Her name should be "Little Miss Sunshine," and she's just so special in every way! Of course her Cerebral Hypoplasia just adds to her charm. She is a "special needs" cat, but her conditon requires no extra treatment and her lifespan will be normal. Cerebral Hypoplasia is a neurological ailment that affects some motor skills and makes her a bit wobbly, but she is healthy and happy despite it. The condition will not worsen and she will simply be a "one-of-a-kind" loving kitty!

Fredd is the the cat who loves cats, yet not so much his humans-- he's not aggressive, just runs away.
Max was saved from euthanasia at the shelter and was placed in a kennel temporarily to save his life. We are now looking for his forever home. MAX is an 11-month old male tan and white Boxer/Great Dane mix puppy that weighs 60 lbs. He arrived at the shelter on Oct 9th as a stray. He is your typical puppy – full of playful and innocent puppy energy. As you can see from his picture, he was emaciated and all we want for him is a caring owner that will take him into their loving home. Can you afford Max this once in a lifetime opportunity?

get in his mouth. He's still puppy-clumsy. For example, he fell off the bench while going belly up for tummy rubs. He's quite a mush. He's been fine around other dogs at the shelter. He weighs 39 pounds and will grow some more. He is very active and needs to be adopted by someone who will give him daily exercise-- morning and or evening jogs would be great for him!
