Where are you? I know you’re out there! I’m looking for the other people like me. The one’s that are tired of this corporate cog of work and bills leaving nothing for the love of life. At times I think “God”, is this all that I was meant for? Am I just another one of the millions that go through the process until it spits you out dead? Well, I’m tired of it- I’m done! ………. OK, Great! So now what? What do I do now? Well, I can’t just jump off the wheel of society? I have to sleep somewhere, I have to eat don’t I? Furthermore, what about all of those @#$%$# bills that will still haunt me every month? Their not going to just disappear. And lets face it; I love my phone, my computer and a whole lot of other things I would never want to be without. Living without a connection to society that’s not what I want. I want all of the great things about our modern day and well, none of the poop. So how does a person balance their life so they can have it all and still have time, money? How does one live a modern life without destroying the world for future generations, without killing all the plants and animals that get in the way? You know I’m talking about living comfortably without destruction…is it possible, I think it is! I believe building and remodeling for net-zero can give people back their lives. All of the money that you give to make others rich can become your riches, or just some time off. Ah-vacation, does anyone remember that? If my thoughts have sparked a fire in you, lets chat and spread the news…vacations are coming back!

Happy Days are here again!Laughing

This crappy old house…. I’m taking about the one I’m living in, It’s old, very old, it was build in the late 40’s as a summer home, so you can imagine they did not put much thought into insulating it. Our energy bill during the first winter was between $350.00-$420.00 Money Mouthper month and we only had the thermostat set to a frigid 60 degreesYell. If we raised it any higher the heater wouldn’t stop running.  I froze that year with my wool hat, scarf and gloves on at all times. This enormous financial drain and the fact that I was freezing for months lead me to research methods of improving my homes envelop. Over the last 4 years I have be improving said envelop and now our bill is around $94.00 a month although we still keep it at a cool 65 degree during the day and 56 degree at night. I’m much richer and I don’t need the wool accessory too. If you would like to know how you could keep the green in your pocket ask me how.
