Too tense, too tense that day was, This summer day, the day that made such a difference.
Noon came, came too soon. Creeping near, creeping fast.
The evil of the red, the softness of the blue.
Both colors swirl in the room. Not together, not apart.
The distant sound of ringing, that ringing phone Still echoing in my heard from that day.
The blue and the red, now just one A lingering purple that circled the screams and tears of joy and pain.
Which color wins? Or does the purple stay?
I unlocked my head from my knees, the cancer hadn't spread!
The purple remained, remained to protect, hold our emotions, our fears and our sadness
Everyone hasa a purple day in their life That was mine.

drive back to the dorm,
where we lived on the

night at around midnight,
