Funny as all the messages of new year suggested changes. I took the start of the year to make an inventory of my life and  I sent a message to my friends asking them not to change, at least, not in such a way. Because  life will never be a sequenced ritual, with linear events. One has gained here, has lost there,  someone have loved so much, others have lost their only love, someone has gone away, someone stayed…  simple! exactly like that.

The facts happen when we expose ourselves, when we lose  the fear and preconceptions, when we break old concepts in the complex agreement that  life is not made only of the beauty. Its one challenge each day with some wounded that still bleed, wounded that wounds heal and wounded that contaminates.

I look at the street and can see hasty people, in distrustful movements changing rough words. I do not want to share this feeling that everything is dangereous, that the suspect ones  are hidden and observing. I want to look at the transparent and limpid rain, touch the wind and wash my soul.

I do not intend to unfold myself to fulfill promises that deprive the characteristics of my objectives. If I am fat, I do not go to the gyn, to run,   stop eating just because it is new year. I also want  to  drink coke zero with zero of guilt. The motivation can be somebody, can be beyond the body.

The one who doesn´t have the habit of the reading, will not read more than the first pages of any good book. A Few projects conceived in bars, between family and  friends  have real possibility of being placed in practical when one is alone and sober.

I prefer to fight a  symbolic war; to see beyond the universe of the appearances,  and as Saramago cited, in his book “Assay on the Blindness”,I want to look and have the power to see and if I can see, want to be able to observe, to see the differences.

I am using all the arguments trying to explain the inexplicable, but I assume that I do not want to change. Looking back  the years, I recognize that the ghosts  do not haunt me anymore. I simply don´t have  what to fear. The poverty is familiar, the violence is common to all of us, politics has produced and reproduced with surprising rapidity the “ideal type” of sagacious politician that make suspicious business, but I am not one of them. Keep my dignity and my rights for certain indignation.

There have been visible progress and advances in the country, in the State, in the city, in my life and in yours. There  are ethical politicians , solidary men, illnesses that can be cured, flutes that touch without causing torpor. And if even though persists monotony moment in your life, evaluate it, take risks that exceed the common sense,  look at all the sides, to the ground, to heaven above. If you see the sky, thank God. If you don´t , you will see the sun and then, it will have been worth and you won´t have removed mountains.
