Do You Try To Eat Healthy Foods?


I am sure that most people on this site try to feed their body nutritious food. If you are like myself, it is not always easy to eat the "right" things. Feeding your body properly is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself. If you feed your body the things that it needs, and avoid the things that are not helpful or even harmful to you, you will be happier, healthier and full of energy.

Most of the health problems in the US, to include the ever growing obesity problem, are due to SAD (Standard American Diet). The SAD comprises largely of processed foods that have been stripped of much of their nutrition and enzymes. It also includes unhealthy amounts of animal fats and bad vegetable fats. Eating foods like this may make you feel "full" but your body remains hungry because it has not received the nutrients that it needs. Regular soda is empty calories (refined suger, high frutcose corn syrup and artificial colors) and "diet" soda contains artificial sweetners which are a problem on their own.

The best things you can eat are foods that are whole, raw and organic if possible. Buy locally grown produce. Eat "superfoods" as often as possible. Drink plenty of water. Exercise, exercise, exercise.

It is tough to change eating habbits. First, don't try to change the way you eat all at once - it will be too hard and you stand a good chance of failing. Change a few things at a time. If you drink soda, try to quit that first as it is just empty calories. Try to cut out as much sugar and white flour as you can. Eat more vegetables and fruits - raw is better. The more colors of fruits and vegetables you can eat the better. Eat small amounts throughout the day instead of 2-3 big meals. Just change one thing at a time. The more good food you eat, the more your body will crave it.
