My Dear Friends,

I'm back on line again!  Can't wait to chat with all of you and help the causes I'm interested in!

First of all, a BIG THANK YOU for the beautiful messages and kudos you sent me!  Please forgive me for not acknowledging them sooner...  I promise I'll write to each one of you individually!

I missed Care2 but was forced to neglect it for a long time.  In fact, I was holed up in my apt. for the entire Christmas Season  with two eye infections and a bad case of laryngitis. Since I was contageous (conjunctivitis), I couldn't see anyone and I couldn't even use the phone because I had NO voice!  On top of everything, I had no access to Internet because I had decided to change my provider and didn't f/u as I was unable to!

Luckily, food was delivered outside my door, and I had two loving cats (Sayed and Joe) to keep me company!

Once I recovered, I underwent laser surgery to repair my retina.  The big hole in it healed very nicely, but I need to go back to the hospital on 2/14 to have three more stitches, and, if all goes well, have the fluid behind my lens removed.

Yes, I still need your healing prayers and support!

With lots of love and best wishes for a 2007 full of blessings,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock

My dearest friends,

Just a note to wish each and everyone of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a NEW YEAR full of blessings!

Please forgive me for not keeping in touch but I've been having lots of problems lately and I don't have Internet access at the present time.

I underwent a rather serious laser surgery last week to repair the damage caused to my eye after the cataract surgery.  Part of it was to "mend" holes in my retina!  I'm convalescent at home right now...

Thanks for your loving prayers, comments and thoughts.  With blessings and hig hugs,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock

My dear friends,

I do appreciate your kudos and encouragement!  Thanks!  You know I love each and everyone of you!

Well, I was hoping to be back sooner, but, as it is, my eye problem hasn't been solved...

I went to see another ophthalmologist for a 2nd opinion.  He said the cataract surgery was very successful, but the lens implant wasn't done correctly, thus causing myopia and blurred vision.  Also, behind the lens, there's some fluid which is pushing it out.  It must be drained with a syringe and healed with a laser beam!  The doctor suggested that I first talk to the surgeon and, if he refuses to do it, he will take care of it.

Right now, I can only wait because they're both out of town...  I'll keep you posted.

Love and hugs,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock

Dear friends,

Sunday morning I'm having a cataract removed.  The doctor says that complete recovery should occur within 10 days because my optical nerve is very weak.

Talk to you then.  I miss you already!  Hugs,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock

Dear friends,

My cataract surgery has been scheduled for next Sunday (May 28).  Because I strained the optical nerve of my good eye, the doctor said it should take me ten days or so to fully recover.  So, please wish me the best!  I'll be back as soon as I can.

Love and hugs,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock

Wolf kill not the solution for Alberta's Little Smoky caribou

The Little Smoky Caribou herd is one of Alberta's most endangered woodland caribou herds. Industrial activities in their range have led to a serious loss of suitable habitat that is threatening the very existence of this herd.

The government of Alberta has decided that the best way to protect the Little Smoky caribou herd is a wolf cull. Killing predators is a last-resort option where caribou populations are in crisis. Caribou need secure habitat in which populations can be restored. But in Alberta, the needs of caribou are being trumped by resource extraction.

You can help by writing a letter to David Coutts, Alberta's Minister of Sustainable Resource Development, to let the Alberta government know that habitat protection must be a priority if caribou are to survive.

My dear friends,

I'll be off and on Care2 for the next 10 days or so because my friend Mickey is coming to visit from Los Angeles.  We'll do some sightseeing and enjoy the local cuisine (mostly mine!  Ha!  Ha!).

I am going to miss you, though...  Hugs and love to all,
