If you want to write a petition here at Care2 please specify your Target. For example: Target Keith Peters North Carolina Zoo
Then name your Sponsor: Barb Knight
Of course "why" you're petitoning needs to be strong as well:
I am petitioning because the management at the NC Zoo, Keith Peters, neglected to instruct his staff how to properly care for the beloved "Mr. Eagle." When "Mr. Eagle" first arrived at the North Carolina Zoo he was very puny and unresponsive.
But as time went by "Mr. Eagle" started eating and even started flying and exploring his new place. However, I have become concerned for "Mr. Eagel's" health. His health is getting worse and it is lack of not enough staff caring for him.
We, the undersigned, urgently request that Keith Peters hire more staff and have "Mr. Eagle" examined by a zoo veternarian as soon as possible.
These targets are "hollow" because after you reach your desire goal number, who are you going to mail it to? 10,000 doesn't have a fax number or a snail-mail. Animal Lovers sure Care2 is full of 'em!! But, hellloooo!! As much concern as you put into these animal/human causes, your Target has to be SPE-CI-FIC!!! This is my pet peeve one I wish I did not have.
As much as Steve loved animals I think it would be a very nice thing to make Steve an honorary member of Care2. This is the best gift I can think of to give to his family.
Certain C2 Members never capitalize God's name. Now if you're talking about Mythalogical gods like Zeus or Apollo, you don't have to capitalize.
But when you're talking about God, the One who made the universe, created every cell in your body, the One who came to Earth in the body of Jesus then yes, His name needs to be capitalized.
It is very disrepectful not to capitalize His Glorious Name. God means everything to me and when I read a story where one of my friends write: "Thank god my family is okay." It's like raking long fingernails across a chalk board not to mention what it does to God. It must the heck out of Him...and this is the reason I bring it up.
Think how much God s you. He s YOU MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW. So please, try showing Him a little respect by capitalizing His Name.
It may not say it on money anymore but "In God I Trust!"
Thank you God for creating all the wonderful animals who are companions to so many people and I ask that you would protect them from all danger, protect them as you did the manger on that cold and wintry night, when the Angels never let baby Jesus out of their sight! (copyright 1977)
I also ask that you would bless and protect all my C2 friends each and every second of each and every day. They are treasures in my life and I thank you for each and every one of them. Like sands on the beach they're too many to name but I know you know who they are.
I can not "Send" netweork messages anymore. Instead, C2 has a "Submit" button in the place of "Send." I've alerted Randy and Eric C. about this but so far neither one has gotten back with me. Please pray they can fix this soon so I can send/fwd messages again. If you would, please report my delimma to c2. Thank you.
Seems we're all experiencing c2 troubles in one form or another these days. OK, I understand you guys visiting my page can see my status symbol but I can't. It hasn't always been that way. Used to be that I could see it too, but, what the heck?? Who am I anyway?? Just one in over one million care2 members. LOL Now my Golden Notes aren't listed anymore...
Care2 is a wonderful place where I have all my friends. Except for my love of animals, people, and our Mother I wouldn't even be here. Especially if my b/f Mark hadn't first told me about C2 in the first place, so it's thanks to him I'm here and you know what's funny?? He doesn't even remember telling me about C2!
Four days before C2 shut down for "improvements" I changed my background to baby seals and now my status symbol is missing. I informed them of this mishap but as you know, we must repeat our delimas over and over again. I know it is a small thing, but it means something to me. Your thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.
Catman was right, my profile was hiding from me, LOL Thank goodness that's over with!! WOOHOO!!!!! I'm so HAPPY!!!!!!! Thank you ALL for your love and support through all this!!!
Please visit my candle I lit for homeless kids and consider lighting one. If you are willing and can afford one, please make a small donation to Covenant House. Thank you. God Bless, Barb
