Dear Friends,

I sent this out awhile ago to my personal friends list and many of you signed it and passed it on. I am deeply grateful as it made a huge difference in that it bought us a little time. Now we need to use the time to get more signatures.

Thank you all from my heart,

Robin Easton

Here is the original request:

I have an urgent request. Could you please go to the above link and sign the petition. The pristine Ruahines Mountain ranges in New Zealand, which have never been touched (whole mountain ranges), are about to be covered with extensive wind farms, windmills with 240 foot blades, and roads dozed, hundreds of tower sites dozed, high power lines all dozed through pristine wilderness, and probably herbicides will be used to maintain the roads, power lines and tower stations (to keep them free of re-growth), there is the threat of introduced plant species which can alter the existing ecosystems, and the potential for noise pollution to both wildlife and humans, and so forth. And still the wind farms will not produce enough power. You can read about alternative options on the petition. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/ruahines-threatened-stop-the-destruction

If the link is not live, copy and paste it into your browser. Please forward this to as many of your online friends as you can. Also, if I have missed any of your correspondence please forgive. My workload has been intense lately. Just send me a heads up if I have.

Thank you very much,

Robin
