How well would a single payer option work!

In Anchorage Alaska the State of the Art Alaska Native Medical Center, is alive and well for those living in remote bush communities air fair hotels and taxi vouchers are provided to bring Natives in for health care it is not reasonable to put a hospital in a village of 100 people. For those Native Alaskans that live in Anchorage they have unlimited access to health care drug treatment alcohol treatment no appointment necessary Free of Charge! Alaska Native medical center is an acute, specialty, primary and behavior health care provider, they have a full range of medical specialists and labs. This hospital has again won the highest award a hospital can the Magnet award. They cover everything. From earaches to Cancer. The federal government funds or the taxpayer this system. Most Native Alaskans use the native health care provided because it works and its free. From 98-2003 3 billion went to fund Alaska Native health care and housing.

They also have received various medical grants and receive federal funding each year. If this single payer system works for them then why can't it work for everyone else? Call your senators and rep ask them if they have ever voted to fund the native health care system. They ask them why it works for Native Alaskans and Americans but not for anyone else! Senator Lisa Murkowski is against the public option but all for giving it to the natives. All of which have the same opportunity as the rest of us if not more. Ask your senators if they are as hypocritical as Lisa is. And You can call her to. The native single payer in Alaska works she even brags about their award, it would be a great model to start with for the rest of the nation. Her is her # ask her why single payer is good enough for Anchorage and Alaska natives but not the rest of the nation

202-244-5301 please remember most republicans vote to fund the ANMC.

Everyone Deserves a Vacation and health care!

If we cant get a public option for affordable health care then let the health industry and congress know we will make our own!

In beautiful India Where Plateaus, tropical rain forest and sandy deserts are bordered by Palm fringed beaches. Where Hinduism was first founded,Buddhism,Jainism,Sikhism,Judaism,Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam all exist to bring a unique cultural architectural and Art to life in this flourishing Democracy. A place where the temper elephant stands as significant as microchip.

Often for less than the 20 %copay with your insurance's you can have major surgery and treatment done in world class hospitals catering to Americans and enjoy a far better experience. Just a few of the services offered, Orthopedic surgeries, Neurosurgery, IVF, (with a much higher success rate) Oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dentistry including implants and cosmetic surgeries at less than half the price. Asia and many other countries also offer top notch medical procedures that cater to American travelers and help their local economies. Just let your travel agent know what you are looking for and ask her for references you will be pleasantly surprised.

We would all like to support our U.S. Health industry but the extreme greed has lead us to other and often better options. Washington you do support freedom of choice and free market right! Well Baby here it is! So collect as much as you can now in campaign donations from the AMA and insurance companies, because better alternatives are poping up every day. A single payer option with outstanding care or the free market above. Be sure to call the Jerry Springer live show A.K.A your rep and senator in Washington today and let them know we also know how to use the free market.

Sarah Palin is leading the Death panel, the republican party practicing economic eugenics.

22 thousand people faced the real death panel in 2006. They lost to, lac of health insurance. Now there are new leaders in that panel and Sara is one of them. By denying people, affordable quality health care a public option the republican party is the death panel. The trillion dollar health care would cost $3279.00 to each of the 305 million Americans spread out over 10 years. That equals 328. dollars a year to each person. 22,000 adults died in 2006 due to a lack of health insurance. Would you give 328.00 dollars to save 1 life how about 22 thousand.

The republican party wants to ensure that collectively we can't afford to make insurance that cheep. That is less than a bush stimulus check, it is less than a child tax credit. It is less than cash for a clunker. It is a cheep amount to have the security of knowing if something happened you could get health coverage. So would you look at any of the family of the 22 thousand people who died and say well their life was not worth 328 dollars Their is a huge cost to this plan, the health insurance companies would not make as big of a profit they would have to cover the sick. They would donate less to the politicians for their votes.

To everyone I am sorry for being gone for so long

I have been working 12 hour shifts midnights 6 days a week and have just been to tired to be on my computer for any length of time and do regular daily activates.

Thank you for all the happy birthdays!

I do have something to say about health care.

This country needs serious reform in this area. The middle class who have health care benefit’s, a lot have huge deductibles and high premiums Their medical care is not being taken care of because they cant afford to go. For those that don’t have health care they are just screwed. TG for the web and online antibiotics or more would get seriously ill and die of simple infections. A bad tooth should not kill anyone. It is odd to me how our senators and reps can manage their health care it is a government program, and boy are they taking care of ! By the tax payer and the insurance companies. I would prefer a single payer system but that is years away form happening, The optional plan can be tweaked down the line when people are used to it. Now I have heard the threats that a gate keeper will have to be their and heath care will be terrible. If that is the case the insurance companies will have nothing to worry about. But lets think about that gate keeper how many people do you know that have been denied, or their bills rejected because the insurance company didn’t want to pay. The insurance companies already ration health care!

HOW TO PAY FOR THIS here is an idea take a deep breath it is a tax! Lets support a 3% tax on all imported retail items. 3 bucks on every hundred spent at Wal-Mart its not that much. It will help those few *American manufactures, *everyone will be paying. All left over money form this can go to support free medical schools.

*People spend years in college and come out in extreme debt. For jobs that pay far less than a hundred thousand a year. We have some brilliant minds out their who would never even consider medical school, because of cost and Lac of medical schools. It is time that we provide medical schools free of charge for nurses and doctors each state should have at least 3 medical schools with a live on campus. We need to provide this from the time they leave high school until they finish. Add a 10 year contract that caps their wages at a hundred thousand and they are free to practice for more after that. Require they be employed within a year of graduation or they will be placed. If they break their contract then they pay for the education.

*Now for a cost cutting measure. Drug companies, tax payers fund a lot of the research they do, and a lot of it comes from the military. So it is time for the government to tell these cash cows. If we give you tax dollars for research, or military research then you cant charge the tax payer unreasonable prices for the drugs.

If we can afford to give everyone 4 grand to buy a new car,

subsidizes for Oil and gas, Tv converter coupons, Money for Bridges to no where . Special earmark money for companies that donate to campaign funds we can do health care.

The government looks at a million dollars like we look at a penny. I see a million dollars fixing a lot of teeth, taking care of many broken bones and taking care of lots of minor illness befor they become major ones that would other wise devastate a families. And people I have been so broke that a bad kidney infection had me in tears when I lost 15 lbs and had been peeing blood for a month, not because I was in pain but because the 90 dollars for the doctors visit and the 140 dollars for the over priced antibiotic left me short on the rent for that month (that was at the sliding scale clinic). TG for pawn shops. It doesn’t take much to devastate a family and I made just a few dollars to much for any kind of assistance. If it had been worse Me and 2 kids would have been on the street. Their are millions of me's

So please support Health care reform even healthy young people get sick. And something that seems minor can be major. Cranberry juice doesn’t always work. Call your senator and rep let them know you want health care reform and give them a fix, even if it is different than the one I support, other wise nothing will happen or their tax may be bad, we are all better than a politician and can come up with better solutions.

Our senators and reps have a credibility problem with health care, They are all on a government run tax payer funded health care program, it has replaced, hips, knees, treated cancer and heart problems. . If it is good enough for them why is it not good enough for us. We should demand their health care program be doped until the are willing to give us the people who gave it to them the same. How is it the government is not competent enough to expand the same health care they have to everyone but they are competent enough to run the country? Government health care is good enough for thees senators but not for you they don't support a public option. Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR)Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL)Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA)Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC)
Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND)Senator Max Baucus (D-MT)

Great Idea! I was reading eco-geek comments and found this link it is a great Idea pass it on.

http://renu.citizenre.com/index.php?p=edu_solution Citizenre REnU Will rent solar panels Design and install them for you for free, well that is where the rent comes in. They base the rent on past electric bills and you can lock in the rate for up to 25 years. If you live in an are that pays you for electricity you creat it may be worth getting a little bit larger system and making or saving more money. If you haven’t signed the green power plants petition please do.http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/green-power-plants

“The metal waste, known as tailings, would kill all aquatic life in the lake. But mining company lawyer Theodore Olson said the waste was more accurately defined as "fill." And, once mining ends, the lake could be restocked, resulting in a bigger lake with more fish“

That is a excerpt from an article in anchorage daily news today. The supreme court is hearing about an Alaska gold mine, wanting to dump their waste in a lake, and violate the clean water act. Its to be expected I guess that a company is going to do what ever for profits, but the blatant arrogance of the statement says every thing. The story is here and it will affect how all mining companies dump waste.
