You really have to watch this video; it is not only cute, but extremely heartwarming. It is a man that interacts with a rather large lioness and her cubs. I think all animal lovers would adore this video.

I read this story in my local news and thought it was worth sharing. It is heartwarming and emotional. If you like happy endings you will like this:

Here is a local story that I thought may intrest the community:

PHOENIX -- A black labrador weighing 144 pounds was on a path toward euthanasia until a no-kill shelter stepped in to give her another chance at life.

HALO Animal Rescue spokesperson Heather Allen said the overweight black labrador was taken to another shelter in the Valley that was going to euthanize her because of her weight.

That's when HALO, a local no-kill shelter that gets most of its animals from the euthanasia list took the dog, Allen said.

Now, she's known as Cece and she is getting support from the community, Allen said.

Allen said Cece will have to loose about half her body weight to get into the healthy zone, and it may take up to a year to get it done.

Besides a change of diet, Cece takes several short walks on her new treadmill, which was donated to the shelter.

I just thought this was worth sharing.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- Search teams have rescued a dog that fell at least 100 feet down a cliff in Washington's Cascade Mountains.

Rescuers had to hike about nine miles on the Pacific Crest Trail to reach the German Shorthaired Pointer.

The dog's owner Mike Garrity called for help late Thursday after the dog ran across an ice field and slid over the edge, landing on an outcropping below.

Rescuers included volunteers from the Washington State Animal Response Team, a group that specializes in rescuing animals.

Other than a few scrapes and bruises, the dog appears to be OK.

In Bend Oregon, people rescued a dog that fell through the ice on a pond. The rescuer put his life on the line to save this animal. Wonderful job! Way to show how much love some people have. Here is the link to the video:
