This afternoon I was at Starbucks on my laptop trying to figure out how to use Adobe Photoshop. All of my friends use it to edit their little pictures on facebook. Katelyn Kowalsky happened to walk in and notice that I was struggling with the software and offered to help me. She showed me how to use things such as the eyedropper tool, how convenient the navigator can be, how to manipulate layers, and many more things. It turns out that Katelyn Kowalsky has been doing graphic design work for a few years now and uses several different forms of software to develop graphics.

Katelyn told me that she started drawing at a younger age and that sparked her interest later in life. Coming into a Starbucks and showing someone who was incompetent how to use photoshop probably was not the highlight of her week. But it sure was the highlight of mine. Katelyn taught me how to so so many things in just the course of a half an hour. Katelyn showed me several tutorial websites that I could follow up on afterwards so that I wouldn't be 'stuck in mud', so to speak.

Before Katelyn left she gave me her contact information and notified me that if I needed any more help with design or other forms of art that she would be glad to assist me free of charge. I found that to be very rare. I mean, I get letters in the mail on a regular basis of companies trying to offer me their services for some outlandish price and Katelyn Kowalsky gave me her expertise for free. There needs to be more people around like her, it seems every one is putting on a front saying their services are free and then come all of the hidden charges. I would put a link in here to her website but she is not that kind of graphics designer who wants to be advertised. This is just a personal story of how one good hearted person helped out another who they seen were struggling. Until next time, live long and prosper!

A Dentist that truly did his job

I had been putting off going to the dentist for quite some time. Growing up, I drank a lot of soda. Apparently, soda is the number one cause destroying your enamel. When you lose it, you cannot get it back. A lot of dentists will try and tell you that there is no way that you can fix it. I know this because I went to one dentist before I visitied Dr Cary Schwartz and got this information from him. I went into Dr Cary's office and I admit that I was sceptical at first. Let's face it we all are.

Much to my surprise, it was a very pleasant experience.  Upon making an appointment over the phone I was greeted by his extremely polite and friendly receptionist. She informed me of the doctors schedule but was able to get me in the very next day. When I came in for my appointment, I was 20 minutes early. It turns out that the doctor has finished some of his patients earlier than he expected, so I was able to be seen attended to early. This made my day, because honestly who wants to spend all day in a Dentist chair.

I assumed that it was going to be an extremely long procedure and that they would tell me I could only get this or that, but that was not the scenario at all. Dr Schwartz DDS informed me that I had a healthy mouth, however, I had a few cavities. Now, after hearing this, I made the ignroant assumption that thi would be a long, painful experience. Boy, was I incorrect.

The doctor was very professional and was able to make the dental procedure very comfortable and virtually painless. This happened several years ago and I still go back to the doctor twice per year for check ups. My children are also patients of Dr Schwartz. If you want to contact him, you can do so by visiting his business listing. That is how I found him myself. Here is his listing

Hello Everyone,

I Just wanted to share an experience I had with a Local Detroit "rapper" named A.K.Ace Knives. He made constant sexual advances, which were refused, and when they were refused he turned very disrespectful. His music isn't necessarily "his". I have personally seen him listen to songs and write lyrics down and just reword them so it seems as though his lyrics are original. These type of type of individuals should not be allowed to produce music for the community because they are unsafe to be around in general. Several of my friends have also had the same experiences with him and to be quite honest it is a little scary. I have been around these kind of people before and they are not to be trusted.

He also acts very unprofessional when prompted to talk about business or anything of that nature. Things related to his "rap career" seem important until he doesn't get the exact type of offer he wants and then  once again becomes disrespectful. I have met multiple individuals like this throughout my career as agent, but this man is by far the worst. I would suggest any producers/agents to steer clear of him because there is no telling how disrespectful he can get. The way professionals should act hasn't changed or anything over the years. You have to respect your agents. You have to respect your producers. Maintain positive business relationships to be known as an exceptional person and musician.

I hope this article was helpful to anyone who has had the same ecounter with A.K.Ace Knives that I did or has had the same encounter with any other so called proessionals in the music community. Also, if anyone else has dealt with clients or potential clients that have been like Knives has, please report them or take a little bit of action to let others know that they may be unstable. To any musicians who happen to be reading this, please try and be an upstanding member of society. It will really help you in the long run. Thanks for reading and good luck out there to all the upcoming musicians.

The Bashundhara Group is one of the largest and leading companies in all of Bangladesh. They are the largest corporate conglomerate in all of the country and they have upheld an unswerving position and mission to, within the country’s economic arena, provide business expansion and growth opportunities for the people of Bangladesh. There have been many recent impacts made upon the economy of Bangladesh and the Bashundhara Group has been a large component in providing the public sector with quality services, funding, and business expansion that leads to many more jobs.

The Bashundhara Group has extended their business reach into a large variety of sectors. As the largest corporate conglomerate in Bangladesh they have contributed their services in supporting, funding, and taking on an array of projects that would benefit the community in honestly incredibly diverse ways. This is why they have a unique ability to provide this source of development for the economy across a wide spectrum. With multiple enterprises, Bashundhara Group works for the betterment of the people of their country and they hold steadfast onto that statement and purpose. The company’s motto is sincerely, “For the people, for the country,” so that is a truthful and bold statement of how undeviating the company is in providing and maintain this genuine and esteemed service.

There are multiple enterprises of the Bashundhara Group. It is no lie that their contribution to the country extends far and wide. Some examples of their endeavors and involvements include the East West Property Development (Pvt) Ltd., the Meghna Cement Mills Ltd., the Bashundhara City Development Ltd., the Bashundhara Steel And Engineering Ltd., the Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Ltd., the Bashundhara Convention Center, the East West Media Group, and the Bashundhara Dredging Co. Ltd. And this is only just to name a few of the many ways that the Bashundhara Group has stretched economic growth out towards the people for the expansion, development, and industrialization of the country, and for always to increase the quality of life for the people of Bangladesh.

One company in particular is one that I would like to focus on. The Bashundhara Group through their enterprise Bashundhara Dredging Company Ltd has undertaken a large project for improving the country, its welfare, and in particular especially, for its environment. In Bangladesh there are beyond 300 rivers, and those rivers were ones that has been neglected of dredging for coming on 30 years. Bangladesh performs this dredging in an attempt to stop potential flooding before the fact, in case of natural disasters. In natural disasters, there is typically flooding of the rivers afterwards so implementation would create a chance for the rivers to be easier for navigation. The Bashundhara Group had decided to undertake the investment of the project as a public-private partnership with Bangladesh’s government. This kind of combination with the public and private sector come about when the government asked for assistance, and by the Bashundhara Group advances forward and investing, an uncommon and unique partnership was founded. This not only is expressive of the company’s reach but of their vision for the future of Bangladesh.
