From: VanceShelterResq@aol.com (at aol.com) Date: Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 1:39 AM LAST PLEA!!! - VANCE RESCUE PARTNERS, SIGNIFICANT SPONSORSHIP! - NEED CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!
This is the FINAL CHANCE for the precious animals at the VanceCounty Animal Control facility to get out of this horrible shelter, and start a new life in the New Year. This will be our last transport of the year.
These animals are suffering terribly, with little to no heat, no bedding, laying on cold & wet concrete floors.
The cats are in outdoor wire rabbit cages with no protection from the weather. Temps fall into the 20s while they shiver & cry for help. Conditions they are forced to endure are horrific. We are DESPERATELY trying to save them from that nightmare. We cannot do it without you.
ALL HAVE SPONSORSHIP, MANY HAVE SIGNIFICANT SPONSORSHIP!Please see amounts & links below.
We have until 5:00 p.m. Friday to get them out alive.
Transport leaves at 10:00 p.m. Friday night.Give them the Christmas miracle they need and deserve.
I personally am begging on my knees. If you saw the conditions these animals were in, it would hurt you to your core.
Please, please save them from that cruel fate. They deserve better. The world has dealt them a sad, lonely, neglectful life. Please, please. Save them. Christmas is a time of miracles. Give that to them. No one deserves it more than they do.

Curly's direct donations to shelter cover entire pull fees.
Check out his photo collage attached here and video link below. He's all decked out in his holiday tuxedo holiday finest!!
The OC volunteers are crazy in love with him, and you can see why, but he's been there since September, which remains a mystery! A uniquely special young boy, he continues to thrive at OC, and that speaks volumes about his personality. He's patiently waiting with the greatest attitude even while watching so many of his pals leave the building, but he can't stay safe there indefinitely and his next review date is looming.
He has pranced and played and licked his chops and has recently been shown off as OC's Cat of the Week. Yet still he sits.
Curly would love to help with those last-minute holiday tasks! Please give him a chance!

The YorkCountySPCA has been inundated with dogs over the last two weeks. Two of those dogs are a stray female Shih Tzu that we have spayed. She does appear to be a senior, but she is not ancient. She is friendly, but resists having drops placed in her eyes.
The other blind dog is an intact male Poodle mix. He is very animated and happy. He was also found as a stray. I am not sure about his age, but he is probably an older dog as well.
Both dogs are active, and seem indifferent around other dogs.
We are out of space here at the shelter and help is needed urgently.
Please contact me ASAP if you are able to help either of these dogs.

Everyone wants someone to have their back when things are rough. But when little puppies have such a need, itâs a pretty sorry state of affairs. But, thatâs what Nino and Crush had to work with: a life where sleeping in the middle of a dry street was a good day, a life where eating some kibble out of an old Clorox-bottle bowl was a treat, a life where their pregnant mother tried to keep them safe from other dogs. So, itâs no wonder these kiddos are very bonded.
Nino and Crush got a temporary inside-living situation, and they are lovable, playful and happy boys. But, the family urgently needs to rehome them. The dogs are only 12 lbs. each, so they are true little lap dogs. At 9 months of age, they have years of antics to charm you with, they are fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and on Heartguard. Nino and Crush have come a long way. It would be a terrible shame if they had to go to BARC, which is the familyâs only option at this time. If you can help, please contact Earline asap at firstname.lastname@example.org. And please pass this on!

Sent: Friday, December 20, 2013 1:42 PM One Last Plea!! -Charlotte, NC
I am making one final plea for these two babies who will be losing their home in about a week.
The owner asked for my help in finding a home(s), as she is in between locations, having to move where she cannot take kitties due to special situation. I can't stand the thought that after 6-8 years in the only loving home they have known, they may be sitting in a cage soon not knowing why their life has suddenly changed, & probably at that point only having about 72 hours to be adopted.
Does anyone know of someone looking to adopt two adult kitties in need? Would love if they could stay together, since all else for them is changing, but will consider separating if new home has another cat or two.
More details below. Application & small fee apply. Please pass along to any possible adopters you might know.
Both were around dogs a couple of years ago, and did okay. They should be okay around well behaved children as well.
Phoebe (gray/white female): - 8 yrs. old - 12 lbs. - front declawed - Spayed - No issues with health or litter box - FIV/FeLV negative - Up to date on shots
General temperament: Loving, cuddly, follows me around the house. Loves to sit close by and cuddle. Background: Phoebe was adopted from the shelter. She had been abused & was extremely timid. It took her a while, but she learned to trust, and became very lovable and cuddly with us.
Ozzy (orange male): - 6 yrs. old - 15 lbs. - front declawed - Neutered - No health or litter box issues - FIV/FeLV negative - Up to date on shots
General temperament:Also loving, cuddly, follows me around the house. Still likes to play with the laser light etc. He is still playful, if I engage him.
Background:Ozzy was found near death. He fit in the palm of my hand. We nursed him to health, and to this day I swear he realizes this, and is very loving and attentive to me.
