  When the textbooks are written for future media studies and political science students I hope that a full chapter is dedicated to what happens when racism and religious fundamentalism is allowed to dominate the conversation.  It divides a nation. Yes, I am a Christian and my faith shapes my beliefs.   I would hope that an elected official, who publicly professes to share my belief in the teachings of Jesus, would act with wisdom and compassion.  ...
