Hello to Care2 friends and visitors to my Care2 page
Firstly i would like to apologise for my non-attendance at Care2.
I am slowly deleting my way through 2000+ messages (from under 60 friends!)
Reasons:
1. My personal messages were flooded with requests until i could not keep up any longer, unfortunately there are only 24 hours in a day
2. My email account here was also flooded, i let it die as i could not keep up with it.
3. My computer connection was dial up, it could also not keep up.
4. My computer died, but has now been fixed (with a faster connection).
5. I found Facebook and think it is totally awesome, ie, a brilliant way to spread information via your own page where others can look if they want, share, comment and "like" and friends are not spammed personally. Also, many of my "real life" friends and relatives use FB.
6. I also recently found twitter and i am slowly learning how to navigate it.
7. The 6 points above leave me with no time for Care2.
So, as i find Care2 a wonderful place and love my friends here dearly, I find Facebook (and twitter) better tools to use for what i do (personally) ie, speading and ease of sharing information on issues that effect our precious planet and all who dwell on her. Also, it appears that FB has methods in place to avert spamming (to a better degree than here in Care2).
Feel free to ad me as your FB friend via http://profile.to/anne.goddard (950+ friends to date), where i have re-adopted my maiden name of Anne Jackson.
or follow me on Twitter via http://twitter.com/AnneEmu
or visit my website: http://globalclimatechangeaction.org
or join "the original and the best" Climate Change Action Group, still growing and active.. here: http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClimateChangeAction/
Finally, sorry about the background, i know that it makes this message difficult to read, but unfortunately, i cannot work out how to change it.
