Time to get serious. Out of all the browsing one tends to do on the net (no lack there lol) care2 seems to offer the kind of diversity that comes in a friendly form. 1. The radical Islamic, anti-Western IHH - the chief supporter of the flotilla to Gaza - poses as a humanitarian relief fund (Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation), while supporting Hamas and several Jihadist organizations in Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Algeria, Chechnya, etc..
2. The IHH initiated a number of “humanitarian aid” convoys to anti-US Islamic terrorists in Iraq’s Fallujah Triangle.
3. According to the Danish Institute for international Studies, IHH is connected to Al Qaeda and global Islamic terrorism. The Istanbul office of IHH was raided, and IHH activists were arrested, by the Turkish security services. Explosives, IED (Improvised Explosive Device) manuals, weapons and Afghanistan- oriented documents were confiscated during the raid.
4. According to a French intelligence report, Bulent Yildirim, the president of IHH, recruited “Jihad warriors” and transferred money, firearms and explosives to Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorists in various countries. Yildirim made telephone calls to European “shelter apartments,” which were used by Islamic terrorists, including Abu el-Ma’ali, known as “Junior Ben-Laden.” IHH produced documents, which facilitated air travel by Islamic terrorists, posing as relief workers. IHH was connected to Ahmed Ressam, an Islamic terrorist, who attempting to smuggle 1320 pounds of explosives and plant them at the Los Angeles International Airport.
5. Bulent Yildirim embraced the world view of the Muslim Brotherhood (the mentor of Hamas in Gaza) and has been a systematic supporter of and collaborator with Hamas. He has transferred significant amount of money to Hamas and its “charitable societies” and has promoted during major Hamas events in Turkey armed struggle against the Jewish State.
THE CONTEXT OF THE “GAZA FLOTILLA”:
1. Gaza is a bastion of Iran and Syria-supported Hamas terrorism, launching thousands of missiles at Israel, kidnapping Israel’s Gilad Shalit and smuggling into Gaza terrorists, more precise and longer range missiles, explosives and other lethal elements. Efforts have been made to minimize such smuggling via Sinai and from the Mediterranean.
2. Israel’s aim of cooperation was demonstrated by Jerusalem’s offer to allow the “Gaza Flotilla” to reach its destination (in spite of the daily flow to Gaza via Israel - of food, oil, cement and multitude of products) following a thorough examination of its content.
3. The “Gaza Flotilla” aim of confrontation was demonstrated by its rejection of Jerusalem’s offer and by the handguns, knives, screwdrivers, iron pipes and a gun employed by terrorists on board. Confrontation has been the goal of the “Gaza Flotilla,” as evidenced by the campaign of anti-Israel incitement carried out by its personnel and sponsors.
4. The Israeli soldiers were prepared for a peaceful-takeover in face of (erroneously- assumed) civil disobedience. Therefore, they were equipped with paintball guns as the primary weapon and handguns as an emergency weapon, to be used only if facing death. They resorted to handguns in response to an attempted lynch by the scores of terrorists, who assaulted the soldiers with iron pipes, knives, screwdrivers and a gun. Handguns were snatched from soldiers, by the lynching mob, and were directed at the soldiers. Five boats were taken over peacefully and one (with 600 passengers) became an arena of confrontation between Israeli soldiers and terrorists. Israeli restraint minimized fatalities among terrorists.
5. The responsibility for the fatalities and casualties lies at the doorstep of the IHH, other supporters of the “Gaza Flotilla,” the UN and multitude of governments, which could but would not stop the Flotilla.
6. Would NATO allow a “humanitarian aid” convoy, organized by the radical Islamic anti-Western IHH, to travel unchecked to a Taliban stronghold?! Would Germany, Italy or France allow such a convoy to reach “Baader Meinhoff”, “Red Brigade” or “Action Direct” terrorist strongholds?
7. The “Gaza Flotilla” highlights the role of the Jewish State as the outpost of Western democracies in face of Islamic terrorist offensive. De-legitimizing and weakening Israel the role model of counter terrorism would be a tailwind for Islamic terrorists the role model of international terrorism - facilitating their assault on the Free World. It’s not a clash over Gaza; it’s a clash of civilizations!
Video taken by IDF naval boat shows the passangers of the Mavi Marmara, one of the ships in the 'Free Gaza' Flotilla, violently attacking IDF soldiers who were trying to board the ship after having sent repeated requests for the boat to change course. ...
There is no lack of people who jumped on the Israeli piracy attack wagon. Few sort to find out the truth according to international law. For Israel this is no suprise. It is the costom of such Anti semites to jump at the slightest excuse and ram propaganda down peoples throats. Many would deny Jews the right to peace taking an active part and support to terrorist organisations. Its Harvest time. Time to seperate the whey from the chaff as they say.
San Remo manual on international law applicable to armed conflicts at sea
SECTION V : NEUTRAL MERCHANT VESSELS AND CIVIL AIRCRAFT
Neutral merchant vessels
67. Merchant vessels flying the flag of neutral States may not be attacked unless they:
(a) are believed on reasonable grounds to be carrying contraband or breaching a blockade, and after prior warning they intentionally and clearly refuse to stop, or intentionally and clearly resist visit, search or capture;
(b) engage in belligerent acts on behalf of the enemy;
(c) act as auxiliaries to the enemy s armed forces;
(d) are incorporated into or assist the enemy s intelligence system;
(e) sail under convoy of enemy warships or military aircraft; or
(f) otherwise make an effective contribution to the enemy s military action, e.g., by carrying military materials, and it is not feasible for the attacking forces to first place passengers and crew in a place of safety. Unless circumstances do not permit, they are to be given a warning, so that they can re-route, off-load, or take other precautions.
NOTE: the San Remo Manual is not a treaty, but considered by the ICRC to be reflective of customary law.
Also, on piracy: the definition of piracy under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, section 101, is clear that piracy can only occur where there are “illegal acts of violence or detention” that are “committed for private ends.” Israeli actions were legal under the law of armed conflict (as evidenced by the San Remo Manual) and in any event, were not committed for private ends. Anyone using the term piracy to describe the Israeli action is clearly not aware of international law on the subject.
Here’s the bottom Line:
A maritime blockade is in effect off the coast of Gaza. Such blockade has been imposed, as Israel is currently in a state of armed conflict with the Hamas regime that controls Gaza, which has repeatedly bombed civilian targets in Israel with weapons that have been smuggled into Gaza via the sea.
Maritime blockades are a legitimate and recognized measure under international law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at sea.
A blockade may be imposed at sea, including in international waters, so long as it does not bar access to the ports and coasts of neutral States.
The naval manuals of several western countries, including the US and England recognize the maritime blockade as an effective naval measure and set forth the various criteria that make a blockade valid, including the requirement of give due notice of the existence of the blockade.
In this vein, it should be noted that Israel publicized the existence of the blockade and the precise coordinates of such by means of the accepted international professional maritime channels. Israel also provided appropriate notification to the affected governments and to the organizers of the Gaza protest flotilla. Moreover, in real time, the ships participating in the protest flotilla were warned repeatedly that a maritime blockade is in effect.
Here, it should be noted that under customary law, knowledge of the blockade may be presumed once a blockade has been declared and appropriate notification has been granted, as above.
Under international maritime law, when a maritime blockade is in effect, no boats can enter the blockaded area. That includes both civilian and enemy vessels.
A State may take action to enforce a blockade. Any vessel that violates or attempts to violate a maritime blockade may be captured or even attacked under international law. The US Commander’s Handbook on the Law of Naval Operations sets forth that a vessel is considered to be in attempt to breach a blockade from the time the vessel leaves its port with the intention of evading the blockade.
Note that the protesters indicated their clear intention to violate the blockade by means of written and oral statements. Moreover, the route of these vessels indicated their clear intention to violate the blockade in violation of international law.
Given the protesters explicit intention to violate the naval blockade, Israel exercised its right under international law to enforce the blockade. It should be noted that prior to undertaking enforcement measures, explicit warnings were relayed directly to the captains of the vessels, expressing Israel’s intent to exercise its right to enforce the blockade.
Israel had attempted to take control of the vessels participating in the flotilla by peaceful means and in an orderly fashion in order to enforce the blockade. Given the large number of vessels participating in the flotilla, an operational decision was made to undertake measures to enforce the blockade a certain distance from the area of the blockade.
Israeli personnel attempting to enforce the blockade were met with violence by the &ldquorotesters” and acted in self defense to fend off such attacks.
The laws of the sea indicate that Israel was withinin her bounds when she boarded the ship

Jewish Law
The harm done by speech is even worse than the harm done by stealing or by cheating someone financially: money lost can be repaid, but the harm done by speech can never be repaired. For this reason, some sources indicate that there is no forgiveness for lashon ha-ra (disparaging speech). This is probably hyperbole, but it illustrates the seriousness of improper speech. A Chasidic tale vividly illustrates the danger of improper speech: A man went about the community telling malicious lies about the rabbi. Later, he realized the wrong he had done, and began to feel remorse. He went to the rabbi and begged his forgiveness, saying he would do anything he could to make amends. The rabbi told the man, "Take a feather pillow, cut it open, and scatter the feathers to the winds." The man thought this was a strange request, but it was a simple enough task, and he did it gladly. When he returned to tell the rabbi that he had done it, the rabbi said, "Now, go and gather the feathers. Because you can no more make amends for the damage your words have done than you can recollect the feathers."
The person who listens to gossip is even worse than the person who tells it, because no harm could be done by gossip if no one listened to it. It has been said that lashon ha-ra (disparaging speech) kills three: the person who speaks it, the person who hears it, and the person about whom it is told. (Talmud Arachin 15b). The gravest of these sins of tale-bearing is lashon ha-ra (literally, "the evil tongue"), which involves discrediting a person or saying negative things about a person, even if those negative things are true. Indeed, true statements are even more damaging than false ones, because you can't defend yourself by disproving the negative statement if it's true! Some sources indicate that lashon ha-ra (evil speech) is equal in seriousness to murder, idol worship, and incest/adultery (the only three sins that you may not violate even to save a life)
San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea, 12 June 1994:
It seems clear to many that Israel was set up by the Obama admin for a diplomatic scandle to further the intrests of the Palestinians aganst the wishes of the Israeli public and the democratic proccess in Israel. Obama has become Israel's dictator. He and is administration are showing a deep rooted animosityand distain for democracy.
International Condemnation of Israel - So What's New?
The Israeli government is bracing itself for more condemnation from the international community this week, at an upcoming meeting of the Quartet, scheduled for March 19. It's expected that the gathering will become another diplomatic opportunity for international leaders to blast Israel regarding West Bank settlements and Jerusalem building projects. Condemning Israel has now become common place for world leaders, especially those wanting to successfully implement their new policy objectives; and, for those striving to solidify a more influential position in Middle East politics and diplomacy.
After the faux pas on Israel's part during the recent visit of American Vice President Joseph Biden, media headlines, once again, highlighted the glaring divisions between the Jewish State and its main western ally. As Biden was attending a ceremony at Yad Vashem, Israel's Ministry of Interior announced the approval of new construction on 1,600 housing units in a northeast neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The announcement caused an American uproar, because the Palestinians, with the backing of the Arab League, had finally agreed to proximity talks with Israel. The United States had been working on getting the Palestinians and Israelis back to the peace table since American President Barack Obama took office more than a year ago. Failing to witness any progress, U.S. envoy George Mitchell was finally able to see a possible breakthrough on the horizon -- temporary indirect talks, leading to direct talks in a few months' time. Having secured the indirect talks, American leaders were now set to go with their new foreign policy plan, already eagerly putting a fresh timetable on the yet-to-begin proximity talks; not paying attention to continued timetable failures in the past.
But, America's new policy soon unraveled after the brouhaha in Jerusalem during Biden's visit. What followed was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's attempt to recoup his political losses, hoping to regain the trust of U.S. leaders. He's not only being challenged on the diplomatic front, but also from within his own government. A shake-up among his coalition partners is unfolding as left-wing Labor Party members claim they will quit his government by September 2010 if no diplomatic progress has been achieved. New elections, and a left-leaning Israeli government, would sit well with the Obama Administration.
Meanwhile, the ill-timed northeast Jerusalem housing announcement has resulted in the Palestinians, backed by the Arab League, voicing their original demand of Israel. They are insisting, once again, that Israel meet their pre-condition (no building in the West Bank or Jerusalem), or they won't sit down for proximity talks. This domino effect has infuriated not only the White House, but also the State Department. The U.S. has perceived that the Israeli government's announcement weakened America's foreign policy efforts, which were already weakened by Israeli-Palestinian intransigency during Obama's first year in office.
Trying to clean up the diplomatic mess, Netanyahu has offered several apologies to the Obama Administration which have fallen on deaf ears. He has promised that construction on the Jerusalem neighborhood will not start for several years. But, the Americans and the Palestinians are not listening. They want more. This has now become a new opportunity by the U.S. State Department to exert public pressure on Israel to stop building in east Jerusalem, a red line that the current Netanyahu government has been unwilling to cross.
The issue goes much deeper than what appears on the surface. The State Department has never recognized Jerusalem as Israel's sovereign eternal and undivided capital. This has put the State Department in the Palestinian camp on this issue in a very public way.
What makes matters worse is that Biden came to the Middle East to prove to Israelis just how much the Obama White House cares and is on Israel's side. Obama's public relations effort was meant to emphasize the unique partnership of two democratic allies who have formed a strategic alliance of cooperation in this volatile region. During his visit, Biden stated over and over again, America's unswerving commitment to Israel's security.
Yet, that commitment apparently does not include protecting Israel's capital and holy sites by respecting and honoring Israel's sovereign historical and biblical right to rule over Jerusalem. America's commitment also, apparently, does not require the U.S. to show concrete confidence-building measures to the Israeli people by moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Furthermore, in this American commitment, President Obama does not feel it is important to visit the Jewish State after fawning on Arab leaders in several neighboring states since he was elected.
In other words, the White House commitment to Israel is about vital security interests, but not within the framework of building a trusting relationship to help Israel overcome its uncertainty about Obama's true intentions. Biden's visit made this all the more apparent to Israeli citizens in a way that no Tel Aviv university public relations speech could.
Condemning Israel for building in a neighborhood that, in any case, will remain under Israeli jurisdiction in any future agreement with the Palestinians, shows the deep misunderstandings between the U.S. and Israel over the peace process.
The U.S., once again, is overplaying its hand, appearing to be pro-Palestinian in its policies, acquiescing to Palestinian demands, and hurting peace efforts. This has further jeopardized American's role as an honest peace broker in the Middle East. So, why continue the unrelenting pressure on Israel in such a public way?
Pressuring Israel has become a path, on the part of previous American administrations, toward squeezing out Israeli concessions. Obama is now using this same tactic, but in the public arena for global consumption. Continuing to bring the dispute into the international limelight emboldens other politicians and diplomats to follow suit. This, then, contributes to Obama's efforts at leading and building a comprehensive Middle East peace coalition which will be supported and backed by international bodies respecting international law.
The Palestinians have already successfully used the United Nations as a forum to internationalize their dispute with Israel, resulting in the condemnation of the Jewish State through many UN resolutions. They would like this to continue until the UN imposes stiff sanctions on Israel.
The European Union has also entered the fray. Last week, while the media was busy highlighting Biden's visit to Israel, it almost went unnoticed that the European Parliament announced it had endorsed the Goldstone Report, accusing Israel of alleged war crimes in the 2008-09 Gaza war with Hamas. Meeting in Strasbourg, just over 50% of the Parliament voted to take a stand in favor of the report. Israel's Foreign Ministry was disappointed that the announcement came at a time when Israel and the Palestinians had finally agreed to proximity talks. Furthermore, the un-timely decision of the Parliament members bolstered the visit of EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who is set to travel to Israel and Gaza, where more condemnation of Israel can be expected.
Moreover, the European Parliament's decision to side with the Goldstone Report highlights the ongoing campaign to de-legitimize Israel, under the false allegation that Israel has violated international human rights laws. This erodes global public support of Israel through a biased and distorted picture of the Jewish State as an "illegal occupier" and the Palestinians as "innocent victims".
The Palestinians, working diplomatically to help Hamas in Gaza, have been successful in diverting public attention away from the terrorist activities of the Hamas government. Focusing international attention on condemning Israel has also helped to minimize gross human rights violations on the part of Hamas, especially the use of women and children as human shields during times of war. This is the real violation of international human rights laws, which is virtually being ignored by the international community.
The Palestinians have not only become successful in fighting Israel within the framework of international bodies, but have tried to undermine Israel's ability to self-defense in any future war. This campaign of de-legitimizing Israel has been working well. Anti-Israel hatred and anti-Semitism against Jews in the Diaspora is now more publicly accepted and legitimized through continued international condemnation of Israel. This is occurring, not only through the Goldstone Report, but also through the laws of international jurisdiction, where ordinary citizens can take Israeli leaders to court over alleged war crimes, threatening their arrest upon arrival in certain European nations.
The Dubai attack against a high level Hamas terrorist was blamed on Israel, backed by one eager UAE police commander who twisted the plot to de-legitimize the work of Israel's main security agency. This put the focus on the Mossad instead of on the arch terrorist who had murdered Israelis and smuggled highly sophisticated arms into Gaza. It also gave international leaders excuses for bashing Israel and bringing the Jewish nation to task for a crime yet to be proven.
When Netanyahu put the Cave of the Patriarch's and Rachel's Tomb on the list of important Israeli heritage sites for refurbishing, America and Europe condemned the move, saying it would not help advance peace efforts with the Palestinians. Never mind that Israelis see the sites as their biblical and historical roots to the land; and, despite the fact that the Israeli government is willing to give oversight of those holy places to the Palestinians in any future peace agreement.
According to international law expertIrwin Cotler, the recent condemnation by international leaders, claiming that Israeli settlements are "illegal", has further played into the de-legitimization of Israel. He explains that people can have their opinions that the settlement policy is bad or is wrong-thinking.
"That is very different from saying that Israel is systematically violating international law in its settlement policy. That raises the specter of Israel as being an international outlaw."
So, why is the international community taking a stand against Israel in such a public demonstration of condemnation? Blaming Israel has become an accepted diplomatic path towards weakening Israel's resolve, and forcing the Jewish State to give up its claim to its land.
This is a new policy initiative that does not appear to be a formally coordinated and planned effort among nations and international bodies. But, it does help the United States, the UN, the EU, Russia, the Arab League, and the Palestinians to further their goal of imposing a two-state solution on Israel according to the pre-1967 or 1948 borders; one that is set to endanger the vital security interests of the Jewish State. This is the very thing that America has publicly promised Israel it would not do. So far, Israel's main western ally has not convinced Israelis of what its true intentions really are.
on "International Condemnation of Israel - So What's New?"
In 1948, the Arab League of Nations applied the Apartheid model to Palestine, and declared that Jews must be denied rights as citizens of Israel, while declaring a total state of war to eradicate the new Jewish entity, a war that continues today.
In 1948, at the directive of the Arab League of Nations, Jordandevastated the vestiges of Jewish life from Judea and Samaria, and burned all synagogues in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem.
In 1948, member states of the Arab League of Nations began to strip the human rights of Jews and to expel entire Jewish communities who had resided in their midst for centuries. And since its inception in 1994, the newly constituted Palestinian Authority, created by the PLO, has prepared the rudiments of a PalestinianState, modelled on the rules of Apartheid and institutionalized discrimination:
1. The right of Palestinian Arab refugees and their descendents to return to Arab villages lost in 1948 will be protected by the new Palestinian state. (Jewish refugees are not allowed to return to Gazaand other Arab controlled lands)
2. While 20% of Israel's citizens are Arabs, not one Jew will be allowed to live in proposed PalestinianState.
3. Anyone who sells land to a Jew will be liable to the death penalty in the PalestinianState.(This law is already enforced by the PA)
4. Those who murder Jews are honored on all official Palestinian media outlets (and by ruling officials, like Abbas).
5. PA maps prepared for the PalestinianStatedepict all of Palestine(including Israel) under Palestinian rule.
6. PA maps of Jerusalem for the PalestinianState once again delete the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem.
7. Recent PA documents claim all of Jerusalem for the future PalestinianState.
8. The right of Jewish access to Jewish holy places is to be denied in the new PalestinianState.
9. The Draft Palestinian State Constitution denies juridical status to any religion except for Islam. (In the West Bank under Jordan, since 1948 till 1967, the practice of Judaism and Christianity was 'only' restricted)
10. No system which protects human rights or civil liberties will exist in a PalestinianState.(Since the Oslo Accord was signed, the PA has shown its complete disregard for the human rights of individuals, political groups and religious minorities)
If that is not a formula for a totalitarian apartheid state of Palestine, then what is?
Have You Heard about it? Violent clashes between Muslims and Christians near Nigeria's city of Jos left more than 200 dead in a nearby village.
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
Not long ago, the United Kingdom vigorously and murderously fought against the independence of Ireland; the United Statesoccupied and annexed the South East of north America and later Hawaii. But Jews are not allowed to end Arab occupation and take control over Jewish ancestral land!
Useless Talks Approved by the Arab League. The Arab League has approved "indirect negotiations" between the PA and Israel. The League limited the talks to a preliminary four-month period. The US will broker and make sure the indirectness of the talks. Up until now, Abbas has refused any discussion with the Jewish state. (Why must the talks between two parties be approved by political masters who created the conflict in the first place? It is in their interest to maintain the status quo. "Indirect negotiation" is the display of disrespect by Arabs toward Israel. Must we negotiate with bigots?)
Another Embarrassment for Obama Administration. Syrian President Bashar Assad sat down with Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah for dinner in Damascuslast Thursday night, just one day after United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on Syria to distance itself from Iran. The trio of terror-hungry Muslim leaders denounced Israel and America and discussed ways to aid 'resistance groups'. (No hard feelings - it is just another humiliation the US has received from a Muslim country!)
Peaceful Nuclear Program? Ayatollah Yazdi, spiritual teacher of Iran's dictator Mahmoud Ahmedinajad, says the acquisition of nuclear weapons is a religious obligation. Just ten days ago, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the opposite: "Our religious beliefs are against the use of (nuclear) weapons. We in no way believe in an atomic weapon and do not seek one." (They are inventing 'religious' justifications to disguise their murderous agenda!)
Quote of the Week: "...in Egypt more than 17 TV channels every day promoting the Wahabi ideas, and this way of understanding the religion is very exclusive in the sense that they are against anybody who is different. They are against Shia, people of Iran. They are against even Muslims who are for democracy, like myself, accusing me of being secular, against the religion. They are against Jews, of course. They are against Christians (especially Egypt's Coptics). They are against everybody who is not with them."- Muslim author and democracy activist Alaa Al Aswany - He also said that beginning in the 1970s there has been a steady rise in the Wahabi brand of religious interpretation of Islam, imported and financed from Saudi Arabia. This is what Saudi Arabiahas been doing all over the Islamic world with the silent blessing of its best friend, the United States !
Israel Should Protest Against any Construction in Manhattan. The United States criticized Israel for authorizing the construction of 600 more housing units in the north Jerusalem neighbourhood of Pisgat Ze'ev: "We've relayed our strong concerns to the government of Israel, that this kind of activity" (After all, most land of the United States was forcibly taken from native Indian tribes - in contrast, Israel is building the Jewish state on the land of our ancestors!)
Fatah is Increasing Terrorist Activity. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terror group belonging to the Fatah, which in turn is a member of the PLO which controls the PA, claimed responsibility for the drive by shooting on Highway 443 last week. (The terrorist organization Fatah has never renounced terror against Israel, but lately it has increased the number of direct terrorism acts in order to compete with Hamas!)
No International Condemnation of Israeli Government? For the third time in a month, Israel's security forces have destroyed a synagogue in the Samaria town of Nachliel. Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Labor, has sent forces in the middle of the night to destroy a shack used as a synagogue (What would have happened if it was a Mosque or Church?)
Israel Gave them Voice, they Propagate Terror.Israel's public Arabic-language television channel has become a mouthpiece for Muslim and anti-Israel propaganda. The station's promotion of pro-Palestinian content is effected largely by Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem who are not Israelis and who occupy influential positions in the Arabic station. (It is just another example of the stupidity of 'political correctness' . Shouldn't the Israeli government have full control of its own propaganda apparatus?)
Another UN Joke. The Iranian Islamic regime is expected to seek a seat on the United Nations' Human Rights Council. The 47-nation body is scheduled to hold elections in May.
Truth is Hard to Swallow.Turkeyis recalling its U.S. ambassador, after the committee on Foreign Relations of the House of Representatives approved a resolution by narrow majority to call Turkey's massacre of Armenians during WWI "genocide". (The genocide of up to 1.5 million Armenians by Turks opened the flood gates for the Holocaust and other inhumanities of the 20th century. Why did it take the leading world democracy almost 100 years to acknowledge the truth?)
Hypocrisy of the US Genocidal Foreign Policy.
A similar resolution was approved by the same committee two years ago, but did not go forward to the House after pressure from the George W Bush administration.
Before Election: Barack Obama: "If elected President, I will recognize the Armenian Genocide." Hillary Clinton: "I have been a longstanding supporter of the Armenian Genocide Resolution."
After the resolution: Mrs Clinton - who had urged the House Foreign Affairs Committee not to hold the vote - "We are against this decision. Now we believe that the US Congress will not take any decision on this subject." (The busters lie without any shame!)
From Australia with NO Respect.Australian Federal Police (AFP) agents in Israel investigating the Dubai assassination allegedly hit-and-ran a female Israeli bicycle-rider. (They came to 'investigate' the alleged involvement of Israel in the assassination of an Islamic terrorist with no respect for the people and laws of Israel!)
Why there are Israeli Arabs - Why Transfer Jews?
by Steven Shamrak.
Critics of Israel love to mention UN resolutions, but they do not like it when people in fact read them. Quite often interpretation of the UN resolutions has nothing in common with the actual text:
Resolution 181 (II). Future Government of Palestine, adopted on 29 November 1947, address the issue of citizenship of the future population of Palestine.
Chapter 3 - Citizenship, international conventions and financial obligations
"Citizenship: Palestinian citizens residing in Palestineoutside the City of Jerusalem , upon the recognition of independence, become citizens of the State in which they are resident and enjoy full civil and political rights."
At the time of declaration of Israeli independence most Arabs were not residents of Israel, but the proposed Arab state. Therefore, they should be citizens of an Arab state. It is not Israel 's fault that Arabs rejected the UN partition plan.
"Persons over the age of eighteen years may opt, within one year from the date of recognition of independence of the State in which they reside, for citizenship of the other State, providing that no Arab residing in the area of the proposed ArabStateshall have the right to opt for citizenship in the proposed Jewish State..."
The UN resolution allowed Jews to live outside the official border of the Jewish state. I would like to ask if Arabs are allowed to live in Israel, why Jews must leave territories, regardless of the outcome of future negotiations? Therefore, I would suggest that transfer of Jews from the territories contradicts UN Resolution 181, as well as recent UN resolutions related to population transfer.
The issue of Jews living in the West Bank and Gaza is used as another propaganda decoy tactic. Most forgotten by now 'big and important issues' like: construction of by-pass roads, Sharon 's visit to the Temple Mount etc. They all have one purpose - to hide the Arabs' intention, probably not only Arabs, to destroy Israel!
