Earth Tremor Felt Across England

I was woken at 1am by the house shaking violently, followed by a tremendous crash. I went outside and we had lost a chimney and some bricks. Other neighbours felt an earthquake, magnitude 4.7, the epicentre near us at 50km south of Kingston-upon-Hull.

Update...

The tremor was felt at about 0100 GMT and lasted for nearly 10 seconds but it is unclear if it has caused any damage.

The British Geological Survey said it believed the quake was of the magnitude of 5.1 and said the epicentre was close to Grimsby in north-east Lincolnshire.

Now I have to try and get back to sleep
