I recently wrote a petition that calls for US Congress to give animals basic legal rights and have those rights protected by the law.  Here is the link for any of you that haven't signed it yet.

I just wanted to update everyone on its progress.  It is doing really well with 845 signatures last I checked but I can always use more signatures because each one makes a difference.  Thank you to everyone who has supported it already and I will keep you updated on its progress.
