I am really trying hard to pass around my petition to close down the local pet store for using and selling sick animals from puppy mills and lying about it.  The petition is at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fairinvestigation-of-the-pedigree-shop-lonetree
This petition is particularly important to me because I worked there for a very short while and saw the animal cruelty that goes on behind closed doors at this store.  I have done every thing from calling local law enforcement to calling their licensing company.  Now all I can do is spread the word to as many people as possible and hope that with enough voices, someone will take appropiate action.  If you haven't done so already, please sign this petition and pass it around to everyone you can.

Unfortunately I had the horrific experience of seeing exactly what goes on inside my local pet shop.  I got a job there naively after they assured me over and over they did not use puppy mills.  I worked there for a few weeks and the all the puppies that came in were sick with something.  When I sold a dog I would get a call the next day from the customer saying the puppy died that very night and our warrenty was worded in a way that didn't cover any of these vet bills from the stores victims.  The owner and manager along with other coworkers desperatly tried to hide what was going on and that these were puppy mill dogs and most of them were very sick but they didn't care once they were sold.  One day I came to work and found a dead Beagle puppy only 8 weeks old stuffed in a box in the fridge.  It was then that I quit and vowed they would be sorry I ever saw what they were doing to these animals.  I have a petition circulating that calls for legal action against them and I could use your signatures.
