80zs butter 1/2 cup of golden syrup 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 cup milk 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar (brown) 1 1/2 cups coconut 2 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
Put the butter and golden syrup into a saucepan. Heat gently until melted, stirring occasionally. Dissolve the baking soda in milk and set aside. Sift flour into a mixing bowl. Stir in brown sugar, coconut, oats, raisins and walnuts (if using). Add melted ingredients and milk mixture. Combine. Measure two tablespoons of mixture, and roll into a ball. Place on a lightly greased tray, or use baking paper on tray. Flatten slightly, with fork. Allow some room for spreading. Bake at 180 degrees celsius for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Delicious with school or work lunches!! These make very large cookies!
