If you have ever wanted to create your own gift basket company then there is no better time to do something like this then the present moment! There are all sorts of ways that one can go about creating a gift basket company and if you haven't started one yet then you have run across the exact type of article that you should be reading. First off, it's important to have a kind of entrepreneurial spirit when starting your own gift basket company from the ground up, or any other type of company for that matter. It's important to keep an open mind about pretty much all of the issues that goes along with creating your business, but making sure that you have a business plan should also be your number one priority!
Before starting your own gift basket company, however, the first thing that you want to think about perhaps should be what kind of gift basket company will you be and what services you will offer to the public. Of course for many people this may be a huge no-brainer question to answer, but if all your answer consists of is that you want to start a company that sells gift baskets then you should definitely put more thought into what you want.
Perry here, remember that for starters, will you be a year-round gift basket company or will your business specialize in providing gift baskets just for major holidays? One suggestion here would be to open yourself up to virtually any type of gift basket that you get a request for. Whether it's a birthday gift basket, Easter gift basket, or even a Christmas one, there are millions of people that buy gift baskets on a regular basis for their family and friends and your whole goal should be their primary source from which they buy gift baskets!
Another issue when it comes to starting your gift basket company is what type of prices you'll charge for the different sizes of gift baskets, assuming that you'll have more than one size. Many people simply choose to make all of their gift baskets a "one size fits all" type of deal, but creating different sizes and ranges of the baskets themselves makes it a whole lot easier for people to judge how much of something they'll be receiving when they purchase one. Nevertheless, though, the price of the gift baskets is important. A few sample prices may include selling a small gift basket for $15, a medium sized one for $25, and perhaps a third larger gift basket set at $40-50. Of course you can always make your prices higher or lower depending on how much you will be including with the gift baskets, but chances are that those prices are right on the nose.
Of course these two issues are just some of the starting issues to think about when preparing for your gift basket company. Deciding if you will have employees, where you will store your supplies, as well as if your gift baskets will be delivered are important to think about as well, but thinking small is a good idea to creating a solid business everyone can enjoy!
Here is Perry Belcher, saying thank you for reading my blogs, til next time guys.
SIBLINGS I had a brother and sister. Actually a half brother and a half sister but I never thought of them like that. They were born from my mom’s first marriage prior to being married to my dad. Lana and Danny were both older than me. My sister is only few years older than me and my brother was considerably older than me.
BROTHER Danny was a Vietnam veteran that served two tours in Vietnam and had a lot of things that affected him I guess when he was there. And when he came back from the war, he got a job on the riverboat worked, as lot of people did in my home town. He had a wife and two wonderful children. But I guess he had problems dealing with things from the war, when I was 20 years old my brother took his own life and it’s really hard on my mom, it’s really hard on all of us but it’s especially hard on my mother. I don’t think she ever quite got over it. And subsequently, a year later his wife died, so his son and daughter; my niece and nephew grew up without a mom or dad so they were raced by family friends that are fabulous. They took them as their own and now they’re great young adults today and really have their lives together and they are just remarkable people. By: Perry Belcher
FATHER :My father’s name was Frank, he was a river man. He did a couple of things in his life,he worked on a river boat and he drank a little beer but he wasn’t a bad guy. I didn’t get to know my dad a lot but everybody that I ever talked to said that he was a real gentleman and a really fine man, he was a hardworking guy, and he worked as a deckhand on a river boat for his whole life. That’s all he ever did, that’s all he ever knew how to do and he was real good to my mom. I was born not too long after they were married and then eventually my mom and my dad got a divorce, my mom remarried. But I didn’t have a lot of contact with my dad after that. He moved away to Texas and I’d always plan on going and spend a lot of time with him and be able to stay with him for a while when I got older but when I was 14 years old my dad died of a sudden heart attack. He was only 53 years old. It was totally unexpected. He died on a massive coronary without any warning and that’s a pretty heavy blow to me. His name was Frank and he was a nice man from what I understand.
MOTHER My mother was born in Paducah Kentucky as well. Her name is Peggy she’s a great woman and a survivor. Her dad died of tuberculosis when she was 9 years old and it was a very tough time for her. We had a step grandfather, I never knew my real grand father but I had a step grand father that came in the picture before I was born and helped my grandmother raise my mom and subsequently helped to raise me and he was an absolutely fabulous man. I think that if I had anybody in life that I modeled my life after as much as I could, that would be my grandfather.
ALLERGIES : My allergist once told me that I was allergic to all things that GOD made. I think I’m allergic to grass and pollens and all sorts of things - not really animal hairs because I can be around all animals that I want but I have a lot of allergies. I can’t go out in the grass bare footed or my feet will swell up like big red balloons on the bottom. So I don’t spend a lot of time outdoors, I do some, but not as much as I loved to. I really enjoy the outdoors but I can’t really spend a lot of time out because of my allergies. So I think that’s forced me to live inside, live inside books, I read all the time and it made me more educated than I probably would have been if I could spend a lot of time outdoors because I really like it out there. I don’t have any other kind of allergies that I know of but I am allergic to a lot of grass and plants.
EDUCATION : I don’t have a lot of formal education.I went to high school and a couple of weeks before high school I dropped out right before graduation. School just wasn’t for me.I eventually went back and got my G.E.D and went to community college for one semester and real university for one semester and it really didn’t turn me on so I started my first business when I was 19 years old.
By profession: I am a marketer - I help people sell things.I sell things on the internet, I sell things by mail order and I sell stuff.Information products, physical products, things that solve problems for people that’s pretty much what I do. I’ve become pretty well known as an expert or guru in my field of marketing. I know a lot about direct marketing, I’ve studied with some of the best people around in the business and I really enjoy what I do. I actually love it.I wouldn’t really want to do anything else.
BIRTHDATE: I was born in July 28, 1964 which makes me a Leo.I never knew much about the zodiac symbols and all that but I think all Leo’s are strong and leaders and tough and all kind of cool stuff so if that’s good that’s what I am.I am a Leo - hear me roar.
