on various issues and aspects of homelessness.

I hope we are all taking our awareness of what we've learned in here back out into society.. so that the next time we overhear someone saying "Oh, the homeless just want to be homeless" we can offer them a little more information on that..

so that if we hear, "Oh, the homeless are just lazy, they don't work" we can point them towards where they can learn about the many, many people who are homeless and working...

I hope that if a neighborhood vote comes up where we live locally, that we can speak up on behalf of homeless people, instead of being yet another "Not in My Backyard"...

that we can speak out against forced evictions...

that we can speak out against hate crimes against homeless people...

that we can act against discrimination towards homeless people..

that we can urge legislators wherever we live to provide more money for low income/affordable housing...

that, even if we ourselves do not have much money, we can still help in simple, yet vital ways to make the life of a homeless person better (see 54 ways to help the homeless)..

that we realize just how serious homelessness is within most of our countries, and over the whole world..

that we help others to see that homelessness is not a moral failing and that it could happen without warning to almost any of us...

that we really can make a difference for the better. We can act globally and locally- we can form a Homeless Community Aid group for our area (for example).

As always, I hope that if anyone has more information on countries or parts of the world which need to be covered better, they can help contribute articles, posts on it here.

I thank my Co-Hosts for all the work they've done, and all the members who bring so very much.

Thank you! Each and every one of you!

Harmony

Testing to see if this shows up in my groups. It seems that only much older shares are appearing in the Host Shares box, not recent ones.
