World Peace Card Meditation
Thursday, May 21, 7:30pm

(based on local time in your time zone)

You are invited to take part in the fifth World Peace Card Meditation. Please mark your calendar and forward this email to all your friends.

Thanks for Your Help!

Because so many of you forwarded this email to your friends, there have been over 80,000 downloads of the World Peace Cards. This is a tremendous increase in the number of people using the cards. So far the total number of World Peace Card sets downloaded, received from our free offer and from our magazine has been over 95,000! I hope you have been using your peace cards as their use brings blessings to the world as well as to you.

A fifth World Peace Card group meditation has been scheduled for Thursday, May 21 at 7:30pm. This is local time in your time zone. This method has been chosen because of the special effect it produces. As people meditate in each successive time zone the energy builds like a wave which gets stronger and stronger as it circles the planet. Because of the higher dimensional nature of consciousness, the energy of peace will be transmitted for a full 24 hours and continue long after this.

Reports from those who took part in the previous meditations indicate many had powerful spiritual experiences. As they united with those taking part in the meditation a feeling of peace developed within that stayed with each for a long time. Some saw beautiful golden light surrounding the planet and others felt that a web of fear was dissipating and being replaced with trust in others and for our future.

All those who have received the cards are being asked to meditate on world peace at this time. By taking part in this group meditation, you’ll be joining thousands of people who will be using the cards to bring peace to the world. By joining together, the affect we have will be greatly multiplied. This powerful experience and will help shift the vibration of our wonderful planet into a higher state of consciousness. As you use the cards to meditate on world peace, you will be a beacon through which peace will spread around the planet which will have a positive uplifting effect on all people.

Please set aside this time to meditate with the cards. The suggested meditation period is 15 minutes, but of course you can meditate longer if you’d like to. The technique I’d like you to use is based on allowing yourself to be a beacon of peace. The World Peace Cards hold the vibration of the World Peace Grids which have been placed at spiritually significant locations and are relay stations for higher consciousness. By simply opening to their energy, you’ll become a channel for their love and peace which will flow through you to all the people on Earth. To do this, hold the cards in your hands or place them in front of you. Then simply meditate on peace.

We are entering a new era. Our entire planet including all the people and living things are moving into a place where it will be much easier to solve our problems and to create peace, prosperity and happiness for everyone. The World Peace Card meditation will quicken this process, making it easier for people to experience this new quality of higher consciousness and will provide great benefit for all people. Since this benefit will be flowing through you out to everyone on the planet, you'll be blessed by this experience as well.

Many have received the cards in the mail or in the Reiki News Magazine while others have downloaded them from our web site. If you would like additional copies of the cards, please download them using this link and print as many copies as you can use. Please feel free to give them to your friends. Also, forward this email to anyone you feel would like to take part in the meditation.

An expert panel, led by the American Pain Foundation, was convened to raise awareness of military and veteran pain issues at the Reserve Officers Assocations in Washington D.C., on October 30th.

"The American Pain Foundation supports the unique needs of active duty and retired military and veterans who are in pain, as well as their families and caregivers," said Will Rowe, Executive Director, American Pain Foundation, and moderator of the panel. "The Military/Veteran Pain Initiative is a growing part of our organization and we are honored to provide assistance in pain management and advocacy resources to men and womaen who so selflessly serve in our country.

Acute and chronic pain afflicts both the active duty military personnel and veterans, and is a leading cause of disability. Chronic pain symptoms and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) frequently co-occur and may intensify individual's experience of both conditions. Characteristics of modern warfare produce serious, but survivable, injuries to the central and peripheral nervous systems that inflict terrible acute pain and lead to chronic pain in many cases. Providing adequate pain management is a crucial component of improving military and veteran health care.

"In Loving Memory"
To My Mother "Joy"

Today, November 22nd., is my mothers birthday. Mother would be 65yrs young, if she were still living on this earth that I walk....She left us to walk in the "Heavenly Light" at the young age of 43...Breast Cancer...

I wish you a "Happy Birthday" mother.....I miss you dearly and love you unconditionally...My most precious friend in the world...I will see you again...

"Heart of Joy"

This is my first book of poetry in dedication to you "Joy L. Murray" and your mother, my nanny "Beaulah C. Godsey". Approval for the cover art was made today, on your birthday, by me....The symbol in the center of the heart- is the oriental symbol for "Joy"- which is the tattoo that I wear on my upper right arm.

I am sharing this poem from the book....

~Heart of Joy~

To open one's heart
To open one's mind

To have the feeling
Most cannot find

To live one's life-
with a
Heart of Joy

One must be free...

Free from hate
Free from greed

One must love-
One must love all...

For then one's heart-
Will fill with warmth...

One's mind will be secure...

The feeling of love-
will fill your heart-

And the circle of Joy-
you will never part...

November 2nd is the anniversary date of my mothers death. She lost her battle to breast cancer at the young age of 44. Tomorrow will be twenty years that she has been gone from this earth. I now understand why she was taken away at such a young age. Twenty years ago, I didn't understand, but over the years I have become to understand why. She may not be alive on this earth, but she lives forever in heaven...This is a photo of my mother when she was 18 or 19....She was beautiful inside & out...
I wish to share my mother’s story with you. I feel that it was such a blessing to have her as my mother. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 43 and passed away at the age of 44. Although she passed away at such a young age, it took me few years to accept. I do know now that her life must have been complete in God’s eyes. She had lived a short life, but so complete with- faith, love, joy, peace, happiness, kindness, many things that a lot of people do not experience in a lifetime. She had been happy with her life and it showed within her smile. Thirty years of her life, she was a mother.

She was born in the 30’s and grew up during or just after the depression. They weren’t a wealthy family, and lived in a small 2br house in the country. Her father passed away when she was 13 years old, and she quit school to help her mother raise her 4 brothers, 1 sister, and the baby brother that my Nanny was pregnant with.

Her youngest brother at the time was born crippled. One of his feet was deformed and much smaller than the other at birth. The Doctor’s stated that he would never walk. My mother worked with him everyday and taught him to walk. The family has said if it weren’t for mom, he probably wouldn’t have walked because Nanny had to work to provide money for the family.

I remember my aunt telling me that mom would take care of them just as a mother would. She cooked, cleaned, did their hair cuts, sewed, made their clothes, did the laundry- which wasn’t an easy task being that they didn’t have indoor plumbing at the time. Mom would bucket water in from the well and launder their clothes using a wringer washer. (You know the ones that didn’t have the spin cycle; each article had to be placed in these rollers that squeezed the water out). She would heat the water for cooking, bathes and such. They didn’t have a clothes dryer either so they hung everything outside on a clothesline. I imagine with that many children, laundry itself was a chore, and then there was the ironing. What about in the winter? What about the laundry then? I believe they had clothes lines hung in the basement and in the attic.

Other than what little money Nanny was able to provide. They gardened and grew a lot of the food, and canned it for winter use as well. I know that they raised their own hogs and chickens too. They didn’t have a lot of money, but they had more love in that family than anyone could ever imagine.

Mother met my dad and married at 19. They started a family immediately by having my oldest sister. I came around about 4 years later, and then my little sister was born 3 years after me. They relocated to Indiana when my little sister was 9 months old for work. I remember living with my dad’s sister that had moved to Indy as well for a while so that he could save up money and buy a house.

He bought my mother a brand new house. She was the proudest and happiest person in the world. I remember the joy in her face, even though I was only 5 years old. She was a stay at home mom and I remember how clean the house was all the time. She would prepare 3 home cooked meals a day. She did everything for us and was always there if we needed her for anything, just as she had been for her brothers and sister.

Mom was one of those very pleasant, nice, friendly people. When she sang one would get cold chills, she sounded as if she were an angel singing. She never spoke a bad word in her life. The only thing that I can think that she did, that she didn’t need to- she smoked cigarettes. That was it. She never touched a drop of alcohol in her life or any type of drug. She would barely even take a Tylenol for a headache. I never heard her say a cuss word the whole 22yrs of my life. She never complained about anything. Even when she was ill and dieing the Doctors and Nurses said that she never complained, she was the best patient they had ever had. She was like an angel they had stated.

She passed away one week before my youngest sister’s 18th birthday. I often thought that life was not fair to mom because she never did anything other than be “Mom” all of her life. My parents had planned to move back to Virginia when my sister finished school. It was such a shock when she became ill and it all happened so quickly. Never in my mind did I ever think that we would be burying her on a mountain in Virginia at age 44. I had imagined my parents retiring and living the rest of their lives with their families again. I do now believe that she completed her journey of life on earth. God had better plans for her at that time when he took her away. She had raised her 5 brothers, one sister, and three daughters during 30 years of her life. God blessed her with being a perfect mother.

I learned a lot from my mother. What it is like to be a great mom and a friend to my children. The wisdom and strength to keep go on in life no matter how hard the times were. I had two young children when she passed away and many times I have cried wanting to share with her their beauty of life. I know in my heart that she is proud of me and looks over me everyday. I too one day, when my life journey is complete on earth join my mother, nanny and all the others that I have lost during my lifetime.

I have learned that being rich doesn’t mean being rich with wealth. Being rich is being rich with love, what one has inside to give unconditionally. Children are a blessing, a gift, and we as mothers should cherish that.

I would like to share with you a recipe for "Russian Tea Mix".  It is packed with Vitamin "C" and is very soothing if you are experiencing the sinus problems with the change of weather.  It is soothing to the throat, taste buds and opens the sinuses.  I use green tea.

I enjoy this so much that I had to switch to decafe tea....I couldn't quit drinking it....

Mix the following ingredients well in an airtight container-

1 Cup of Orange Flavored Powdered Tang
(or Orange Instant Breakfast Drink)

1 Cup of sugar

1 Package of unsweetened koolaid lemonaid

A dash of cinnamon

Just add 2-3 teaspoons of this mixture to your hot tea.....Add a little sugar/sweetner or honey if you wish....I think you will enjoy....
