This very sweet, calm, friendly girl has been at the Kingsville pound since May 31. After her ten day hold was up, she was "tagged," giving her an additional 30 days. VERY URGENT!!

These dogs are at the Columbiana County Dog Pound in Lisbon, Ohio (one hour from Pittsburgh, 90 minutes from Cleveland).   They must be placed before Tuesday June 5th at 1pm.  Due to a computer glitch, these dogs weren't posted until Monday.  So they didn't/don't have much time.

Once a rescue or adopter agrees to pull a dog, the dog is welcome to stay at the Pound while logistics are arranged.  The pull fee includes spay/neuter, a Duramune vaccine, and a rabies vaccine.  Additional low-cost vetting is available.  Transport assistance is often available to cities both east and west.  The Pound is VERY, VERY rescue-friendly!!  The dog warden and her deputies go above and beyond to save as many dogs as possible - please help them (and the dogs!)

There is word from the warden Dawn that she is giving the dogs until 1pm Wed June 6th because their pictures were posted so late. So we have until tomorrow. I know that Columbiana Rescue group on Yahoo was asking if anyone would be able to sponsor the dogs. They said that any amount will help. I think some of them have a little bit of sponsorship money but ANY amount will help. This money really helps to get these dogs rescued! I had sponsored a dog last fall before Christmas. His name was Conner and the pound really did not know if he would make it out or not because he was terrified! Well a rescue in Minnesota took him and he has made a complete turn around and it a wonderful boy! He is doing really good at the rescue. Gabe that works with the pound told me that my sponsorship saved his life because the rescue was able to pull him and he was already vetted when he went to them!

I would love to help w/this transport. Joe and I do this in the TX area, however, Joe isn't ready for all-nighters yet, so I have to send this on in hopes someone will volunteer to help. He is offerring to fly someone to MS and provide the van to drive to COLO -that's a deal if you love animals and want to help and have the time....we've found it very rewarding to take dogs or cats to their new owners...for the animals! Dear ARF,

We have been planning a transport of many kittens, puppies and dogs out of  the Waveland shelter for the past few weeks and just recently found out that
the driver who offered to drive them to Denver can no longer do it.

We have places for 32 kittens, 2 cats, and 22 dogs and puppies and no one to drive them from Waveland to Denver where they will be met by the indomitable Connie Durkee who will then drive them to Seattle, WA.


Ever since finding out we have no driver I have not been able to get this off of my mind.

We have not had a major transport for Waveland since early February.

The shelter is very full and they have been short staffed due to a back injury Renee suffered during our spay/neuter clinic in Sept.

In short,  they are in desperate need of help.

This opportunity will get EVERY single kitten
and cat out of the shelter and make a dent in the number of puppies and dogs and I am reaching out to all of you to see if anyone can help us get the kids
to Denver or knows of someone who can.


We have funding and will provide the van.

If I have to personally fly someone to MS I will just to ensure this happens.

What is required is to expect to leave the Gulf Coast of MS next Friday (18th) or Saturday (19th) and drive
straight through to Denver where you will be met by Connie's team.

The dogs will have to be periodically walked (gas stops) and the kittens and puppies will
need their cages kept clean. This requires 2 folks who can alternate driving straight through the night and have a love of animals and commitment to
ensuring they will be well cared for during the ride.


I'm desperate. I even considered flying them all to Connie but with a 2 animal per cage limit it is just impossible  the cost is truly prohibitive.

This is my last gasp effort to ensure the kids make it out of Waveland.

Can anyone help?
