After looking at the evidence surrounding the Pat Tillman coverup, I have come to this certain conclusion: that DEATH SQUADS ARE OPERATING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES ARMY; USED AGAINST MEMBERS OF THE U.S. MILITARY ITSELF.

I am tired of endless crappola debates among the politically inclined, on whether President Obama is a "Good Guy or a Bad Guy".  Such discussions are a total waste of time, utterly pointless, change nothing. Obama really has VERY LIMITED power. This doesn't make him, in my view, a "hand-picked tool of Wall Street". {Wall Street had hand-picked Ms. Clinton for that role. Obama rode a genuine populist surge that surprised everyone!} Obama, with his LIMITED power, is like a "manager", trying to keep everyone happy if possible. Like a guy negotiating between Capital, the Bosses, and Labor, the Unions. In a situation where the Bosses basically hold ALL the cards! Trying to win for the "Unions" {to continue that metaphor} what concessions he can!

Who is really in power? CHENEY and his gang! and he is going around FLAUNTING that power! Bush was of course never in power, never had any power at all, was just a figurehead. But Obama is in a very tricky position. He is in NO SENSE in a position to make a "revolution" or a "coup"! And, in what I think Obama is trying to do, he may very well fail! The powers against him may be too great......

We are not REALLY a "Democracy"; not any more; we are an OLIGARCHY, rule by the few, with Democratic outside wrappings! We really ought to recognize this...... This is totally different from the Roosevelt era, when the President actually DID have some power. With the Kennedy assassination, essentially a coup was effected..... that has remained in power EVER SINCE. I am not going in for the Illuminati, the Elders of Zion, the Freemasons, the Knights Templar, aliens from outer space, "the Bilderberg group", or any of that stuff! However, we DO have a shadow government behind the facade of "democratic institutions". Calling it "Bilderberg" or anything else, does NOTHING to help understand it, or feel you have some kind of "control" just by NAMING it! {A well-known form of MAGIC, nothing more!} Besides, I think that the Oligarchy changes constantly, has internal power struggles we know nothing about, etc. It isn't just one specifically identified group of people you can point to and name! A whole lot is VERY undercover..... the main characteristic of this group, as in ALL such various dominant groups thruout Human History, is its willingness to use total brutal force, to succeed........ call it Social Darwinism if you will.

Obama of COURSE, KNOWS all this. He KNOWS who was really responsible for 9/11, for the Kennedy assassination, for the CIA-sponsored coup in Indonesia. If WE can know, OBAMA knows. He may be trying to do what "good", what large or small reforms, he can, under these deplorable circumstances..... and, he could fail.

McChrystal {sp.?} is a case in point. His being put in charge in Afghanistan. He has been associated with Black Ops. {That is where the REAL power base lies, in the secret Black Ops, NOT in such an open, and juvenilely ridiculous, place like Bohemian Grove!!!!!!!} He has also been associated with the cover-up on Pat Tillman's death. The reports on Pat Tillman lead me to believe, that DEATH SQUADS are operating WITHIN THE AMERICAN ARMY. Pat Tillman, a very high-profile person, was starting to question the rationale of the Iraq war; WHY WERE ALL HIS JOURNALS BURNED AT THE SAME TIME THEY BURNED HIS CLOTHES??? And, a LOT OF OTHER "SUICIDES" and "Friendly Fire" incidents, are being questioned ALSO. DEATH SQUADS OPERATING IN THE U.S. ARMY, JUST AS IN LATIN AMERICA and Palestine, etc....... The purpose of this, is to "nip in the bud" ANY Army Resistance, like that which stopped the Viet Nam war...... The hopelessness of forming any similar Resistance in this case, has led to the REAL suicides of soldiers {not faked}, who see NO solidarity and NO other way out........

So, the way I see it, Obama was FORCED to choose McChrystal...... he has very little room to operate, Obama, maybe he has even less room than he thot he would have when he was running for office..... tho on the other hand, Obama was certainly not blind to it, either. And, however much we demonstrate, communicate, express outrage and Public Opinion, it will have VERY LITTLE EFFECT ON THE REAL POWER, ON THE OLIGARCHY........ The after-Kennedy Oligarchy has found, much to the surprise of some of its more hidebound members, that it can absorb Social Change and still remain in power; it can absorb long hair on guys, tie-dyed T-shirts, rock music, Civil Rights for Blacks, and for Women, and for Gays, and still remain in power as its basic self, power that is BASED ON VIOLENCE AND THE WILLINGNESS TO USE FORCE, openly or covertly...... And, it will most likely CO-OPT THE GREEN MOVEMENT IN THE SAME WAY.....!

9/11 TRUTHERS AND JEWS/ZIONISTS/ISRAELIS: FACTS OR NONSENSE?

You know what a big Truther I am!
I am considering this very carefully. Asking people to sign their names & addresses, etc.
I have very serious reservations I want to discuss with you.
I would sign in a second, if it weren't for these reservations.
I also have hesitation about asking others to sign, for the same reasons.
Please think about this.

I am Jewish. {Daughter of a Jewish mother.} My grandmother considered herself a Zionist. {Sent some money, not very much, to Zionist organizations to plant trees in Israel.}
I suppose any Jew can be considered as having "dual citizenship" in Israel; since that State has decided to let in any Jewish person as a citizen. {I think. I am not in detail acquainted with that law.Called Haaretz, I believe.}
However, the vast, vast majority of Jewish people I have known, have absolutely no intention of taking advantage of that "free offer". We act as citizens of the country we are living in; as other citizens of that country do.

The only people I could consider as really having, or EXERCISING, their powers of "dual citizenship", are those Americans if there are any, who may spend half their time in the U.S. and half in Israel. {I don't know if there is any point at which the U.S. would revoke the American citizenship, or not. Can they live in Israel and vote in U.S. elections? Can they vote in BOTH country's elections? I don't know. Somehow it seems unlikely........}

Anyway..... in the interview with Matthew Naus. I feel that you give FAR TOO MUCH CREDENCE to the nutty, crazy, crackpot view that ISRAEL IS BEHIND 9/11.
Or rather, that Matthew Naus does. THAT IS WHY I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THIS, WITH HIS PROGRAM OF SIGNING.
It seems too much like an ENDORSEMENT of such nutty, crazy, crackpot views.

Sure, I give you guys credit, YOU DO PRESENT THE OTHER SIDE.
You do present it in the context of, "This is disruptive of the 9/11 Truth Movement".
BUT......BUT you ALSO present it in the context of, "This is a GROWING REALIZATION within the 9/11 Truth Movement".
BECAUSE you have presented those ideas IN THESE CONTEXTS, I feel it is ok, I feel COMFORTABLE with getting this out into GROUPS, getting people to READ what Matthew Naus has to say. They can read and decide for themselves.

However......... I feel like there is sort of a BACK-HANDED ENDORSEMENT of the view, that Israel/Zionists/Jews are behind 9/11.

IF I AM GOING TO PUT MY PRECIOUS NAME ON ANYTHING, AND EVEN MORE, ASK OTHERS TO DO SO: I MUST BE BEHIND MY SIGNATURE 100%.
I keep yelling at people on Care2, who don't READ CAREFULLY the Petitions they put their signatures to!
When this interview is put out into groups, people are smart enuf to JUDGE FOR THEMSELVES.
However, some people would think a] that they should sign this thing because I signed it, and b] that I endorsed ALL the views given, not just SOME of them.

I do not call the view that Israel/Zionists/Jews are behind 9/11, "Anti-Semitic"; name calling doesn't prove anything.
I call it factually WRONG. And provably so.
First of all, it is WRONG AND MISLEADING USE OF LANGUAGE, to conflate Jews/Zionists/Israel/people having this theoretical "dual citizenship".
IT IS WRONG TO LABEL ANY JEWISH PERSON IN THE BUSHCO MIS-ADMINISTRATION, AS HAVING "DUAL CITIZENSHIP". Meaning, by IMPLICATION, that they are AN AGENT OF THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT.

They are no more an "agent" having "citizenship" in Israel, than I or my daughter or any communist, socialist, anarchist, peace demonstrator, etc. etc. etc. who is Jewish by birth {as I am}.
That the Israeli govt welcomes all Jews with open arms {unless they have dark skins!}, DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE THOUSANDS AND MILLIONS OF JEWS ALL OVER THE WORLD, ACTUALLY EVER, EVER EXERCISE THEIR THEORETICAL "Jewish citizenship"; or that any and every Jew in any government anywhere in the world, is an "Agent of Israel".

This feeds into the idea that all us Jews, such as the ones in my family, are part of a vast interconnected network that is "taking over the world". We all have ONE SINGLE AIM!
Come ON!
To even give a PASSING NOD to this CRACKPOT, FACTUALLY WRONG idea, WILL INDEED WRECK THE TRUTH MOVEMENT -- AS IT IS HOLDING IT UP NOW!

That did NOT mean there was an "Iran lobby" controlling everything the U.S. govt did! If the U.S. govt wanted to do something CONTRARY to what the Shah's govt wanted, TOUGH SHIT FOR THE SHAH. The exact same thing is true of Musharraf's govt in Pakistan. There may be a "Pakistan Lobby"; but, WE ARE THE BIGGER FISH. WE EAT THE SMALLER FISH IF WE WANT TO.

By the way, "Zionism" is properly, a word for a political movement, a POLICY, of settling Israel with Jews. One may agree or disagree with this POLICY, one may thoroly HATE it, with reasons. An international investigation would only CONFIRM THIS FACT.

Daryl Bradford Smith had no guest today. He gave one of his typical rants instead. Here are the highlights:

(1) Daryl Bradford Smith asserts that Arthur Koestler's The Thirteenth Tribe deals with Talmudic history and with the "Frankists," etc. As noted in an earlier post, no where in the book does Koestler mention the name "Jakob Frank." Not once. See the index yourself. [1]

(2) Daryl Bradford Smith takes a lot of time today talking about this new page on his Website. [2] He claims that it is a summary of why he and the coward Eric Hufschmid believe the Mossad carried out the 9/11 attacks. It's perhaps useful to look over their reasons.

(a) The Five Dancing Arabs

It is often claimed that five dancing Israelis -- dressed as Arabs -- were celebrating in New Jersey as the WTC fell down across the river. Hufschmid writes, "The police discovered that they were Israeli army veterans, not Arabs."

Let me say this once again -- every Israeli over age 18 serves in the Army and all men are reservists until age 54. That they were army veterans is, therefore, a moot point at best.

Two links are offered, one to the Washington Post and one to the London Telegraph. But neither story, while talking about Israelis on visas being detained after 9/11, talks about dancing Israelis. The links are there to fool you into thinking that Hufschmid has proof for his claims. If he had proof, he'd offer an article that mentioned these dancing Israelis. He doesn't because he can't..

(b) The Israeli Spy Ring

Let's assume that this is true. Does it prove that the Mossad carried out 9/11? No, it doesn't. All it proves is that Israel spies on us. We spy on Israel. All countries spy on other countries, if they have decent intelligence services. It's no big news that Israel spies on us; that's why Jonathan Pollard is in jail.

(c) Larry Silverstein is a Zionist

Oh, my God! A Jewish guy is a Zionist. Well this particular Jewish guy apparently was the landlord of several of the WTC buildings. What does this prove? Nothing.

(d) Pentagon Cannot Account for $2.6 Trillion

So what? I mean, yes, it's shocking that the Pentagon lost this much money (though they do spend roughly one-eighth that amount per year), but it proves that 9/11 was carried out by the Mossad? No, it doesn't.

(e) The 9/11 Attack Follows a Pattern

Supposedly, the 9/11 attack follows other Israeli military/intelligence operations carried out against the U.S. First of all, the bombing of the King David Hotel by the Irgun was not a hidden attack, nor was it against the U.S. -- it was against the U.K. base of operations in Palestine. As for as it being secret, it was not only did Begin claim responsibility for the attack, but he phoned ahead to let people know the building had a bomb in it.

The Lavon Affair was an attack on the U.S., but it was never approved by the Prime Minster (Moshe Sharrett). It was the individual initiative taken by Yitzhak Lavon, the defense minister, to shore up support for Israel. It was successfully covered up for six-odd years, but the truth ultimately came to light. It is, in fact, the only attack by Israel on the U.S. that was ever carried out purposefully.

The attack on the U.S.S. Liberty was an accident, as noted elsewhere by me.

How Zionist boycotts of Germany are involved in all this, I have no idea. Nowhere in Untermeyer's speech does he say he is doing it to stir up anti-Semitism. Rather, he says he is doing it as a reaction against anti-Semitism. You can read the transcript yourself and see. [3]

So there really is no pattern of Israeli attacks against the U.S.

(f) Israelis Are Suspected of Instigating Fights Even Today in Iraq

Smith and Hufschmid offer no mainstream sources to support this allegation.

(g) The Media is Controlled by Zionists

This would be their answer to my answer to (f) above, I suppose. But still, even if we accept this notion as 100 percent true (and I'm not sure we can -- not even every Jew is a Zionist), does this prove that 9/11 was carried out by the Mossad? No, it does not.

(h) Zionists Have a World-Wide Network

Smith and Hufschmid write, "Millions of dollars of profit were made in suspicious stock trades. The governments of America, Europe, and Japan announced plans to investigate in order to determine who the investors were. However, every investigation was terminated." Again, what proof do they offer? None. If the Zionist network is large, it is because there are Jewish communities all over the world. Does this prove the Mossad carried out 9/11. Nope.

(i) Most of the 9/11 Truth Seekers are Zionists

Again, this would require some sort of proof.

Actually, this is untrue. This only points to Smith's pattern of pointing to his enemies and labeling them Zionists, myself included, without a shred of proof. Find a pro-Israel statement by Alex Jones or Webster Tarpley. Can you?

(j) Most People Pushing UFOs are Zionists

Even if this were true (and I doubt it), so what?

(k) AIPAC and Jack Abramoff

Here Hufschmid and Smith provide two sources on whether Abramoff aided in the 9/11 attacks. The first is Daniel Hopsicker, who says Mohammad Atta was a guest on Abrahmoff's boat. He is the only source they cite. Is this proof of a Mossad 9/11 conspiracy?

The other person they cite is Juan Cole, who is far more credible. The only problem is that Cole doesn't mention 9/11 in his article; he mentions Israeli attacks in the Palestinian territories.

That's the extent of the "proof" offered for Mossad complicity in the 9/11 attacks. Often they will also mention that 4,000 Zionists and Jews were told to stay home on 9/11. My wife's cousin, who was Jewish, was killed in the North Tower on 9/11. Why didn't he get a call? Look at the list of victims and see the Jewish last names. [4] Why weren't they told to stay home?

(3) Daryl Bradford Smith repeats the lie that Judaism allows men to have sex with children. I have already addressed this in one of Smith's interviews with Ted Pike.

The parts of the interview that disturb me:
The movement also has some divisions that are keeping Truthers apart and at odds with each other. I have noticed that more and more 9/11 Truthers are bringing up the role of Israel. Israel. They bring up how the Zionists are behind the crimes of 9/11. {And I went to that website. BMT} We have the fingerprints of an Israel connection as documented in The Complete 9/11 Timeline managed by Paul Thompson. For example the 5 dancing Israelites caught with the Urban Moving Van. They were then released back to Israel a few months later by Michael Chertoff, Homeland Security Chief and dual Israel citizen{?}, and when they got back to Israel they told a news station they were there to document the events. They bring up the dual citizenship [?] of some of the neo-cons who wrote the PNAC and those who are the owners of the mainstream media. They also bring up some of the crimes of the past like the USS Liberty that was attacked by Israel back in 1967.????? 34 years ago? what connection? I believe there are some reservations from some of the 9/11 truth leaders to include these facts????? about the Israel/Jewish/Zionist connection, in regards to 9/11, in their speeches, radio broadcasts, flyers and websites. They probably have concerns that they will be labeled as an anti-Semite or fear retaliation???? in some way by Jewish organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Words such as '9/11 shill' are also being thrown around by these types of truthers at some leaders in the movement. I think it's important to get out all the truth, but I also think that some of these truths need to come out when their time is right?????. Our first task is to get an independent investigation, with full subpoena powers, using the solid evidence that contradicts the official government account.

Rosie O'Donnell, currently under attack after she questioned the official story behind 9/11, has revealed that Fox News bully Bill O'Reilly threatened to "go after" her and her colleagues after they mentioned O'Reilly's sex scandal on The View.

ABC has now gagged O'Donnell from mentioning the subject on all future broadcasts.

The policy of mafia-like intimidation directed at anyone who discusses 9/11 truth on behalf of O'Reilly is a common and disturbing theme.

Within the past two weeks, O'Reilly has threatened both Charlie Sheen and Mark Cuban that he'll be "looking out" for them if they continued their involvement in the upcoming release of the Loose Change Final Cut movie. On his Friday show, O'Reilly demanded Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, be thrown in jail.

In October of last year, O'Reilly threatened Jim Fetzer and Kevin Barrett that he would use his influence to push for an FBI investigation of the 9/11 truth professors, in an attempt to discover if they had links with terrorists.

"I'd put the FBI on you and that nutty Barrett and find out what the hell you guys are up to," salivated O'Reilly, making reference to Sammy Al-Arian, a former professor at USF who was charged and later acquitted of helping to lead a Palestinian terrorist group that carried out suicide bombings against Israel.

During a September 2001 interview before his arrest, O'Reilly told Al-Arian, "if I was the CIA, I'd follow you wherever you went. I'd follow you 24 hours."

As Kurt Nimmo writes, "Bill O'Reilly essentially had Dr. Sami al-Arian, an associate professor of computer engineering at the University of South Florida, not only bounced from his job but also arrested and indicted by the Justice Department on racketeering and terrorist charges due to his alleged association with Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Ashcroft went as far as to characterize al-Arian as "the North American leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad."

In March of 2006, O'Reilly threatened disagreeing callers to his own radio show that their information would be turned over to law enforcement and that they would receive a visit from Fox security personnel. One such caller was actually contacted by Fox security after he mentioned Keith Olbermann on O'Reilly's show, an action classified by O'Reilly as obscene.

"If you're listening, Mike, we have your phone number, and we're going to turn it over to Fox security, and you'll be getting a little visit," barked O'Reilly.

I AM CERTAIN THAT THE OCT 11TH PLANE-CRASH-INTO-A-TALL-BUILDING, IS THE "OCTOBER SURPRISE" planned for us. [Or ONE of them!]

1] The DATE will STICK IN EVERYBODY'S MIND. NO CO-INCIDENCE. The 11th, the 11th, the 11th.


2] The fact that a CELEBRITY was on the plane, ENSURES THAT THE STORY WILL BE TOLD AND RETOLD on TV and in the pop culture press, FROM NOW TILL NOV. 7TH. And SPORTS, yet!!! Poor guy had to be SACRIFICED. He had JUST GOT REFUSED A JOB with the Big Leagues. But he still has a purpose in life! [and death!]. Those f---ing unfeeling Bush bastards. A lot they care about the families, etc. JUST AS THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT IRAQ VICTIMS ON ANY SIDES, OR LEBANON, OR ANY OF THEIR OTHER WARS.

4] So, these EVER-RESOURCEFUL people {whose intelligence we should NEVER under-estimate -- they PAY smart people to think for them!}, decided to SCRAP the "phoney terrorist plot" false flag idea and do ANOTHER publicity stunt, AND I DO MEAN PUBLICITY STUNT. 7] The FLIGHT PATH of the plane, is, in a word, RIDICULOUS. It went UP THE HUDSON RIVER, THEN MADE A TURN BACK AND WENT DOWN THE EAST RIVER, THEN SWERVED FROM ITS PATH ALMOST 180 DEGREES AND FACED THE OTHER WAY AGAIN AND SEEMED TO GO DELIBERATELY, I WOULD SAY, INTO THE VERY CENTER OF THE BUILDING. Almost the center line!!! [On pre-programmed auto-pilot??? or with some kind of pre-set attractive force INSIDE the building???]
Sortof like: & As near as I can put it.
Left side of the curve: Hudson River. Right side of the figure: East River. Bottom {middle} of the Ampersand: Manhattan Island. Got it? Well, that's the best I can do, I can't draw on this.

And no distress signal? The parachutes didn't open? And hitting the building STRAIGHT ON, and NOT AT AN ANGLE, GOING DOWNWARD, as would happen in an UNCONTROLLED CRASH FROM THE SKY, THE FORCE OF GRAVITY INVOLVED?????

We all know there will be an "October Surprise"  TO GET RE-ELECTED; [cover of legitimacy]; and to distract from WHATEVER may come up. Iraq, etc. AND, OF COURSE, TO DISTRACT FROM THE 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER.

There may be OTHER "October Surprises" in store, too. BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM. NO "ACCIDENT"; NOT A CHANCE. Compared to 9/11, MUCH EASIER TO PULL OFF, TOO.
This celebrity sports guy, you could say {as I've heard}, that he was "suicidal", "showing off", "an inexperienced pilot" or on drink or drugs, like ALL these sports guys supposedly are. [Slander the dead!] Well, THAT would "explain" the ERRATIC FLIGHT PATH and going OFF COURSE 180 DEGREES FROM THE EAST RIVER INTO THE ISLAND OF MANHATTEN, wouldn't it??? Su-u-u-ure..............

The theory of the BIG LIE, is, that it WILL BE BELIEVED BETTER THAN A SMALL LIE WOULD BE. Because it seems "Impossible that someone would lie so outrageously". But, I AM AS CERTAIN AS I CAN BE, THAT THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE. Nothing else makes any sense! There is NO ATROCITY OR LIE TOO OUTRAGEOUS FOR THE BUSHIES TO TRY TO PULL OFF. We should all KNOW that by now!!!!!

[And, THIS WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO PULL OFF, THAN 9/11 -- fewer people involved, but still PRE-PLANNED WELL IN ADVANCE -- manipulating their "patsies", etc.]

I HOPE THE 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT ADDS THIS TO ITS INVESTIGATIONS.

9/11 FIVE YEARS LATER: WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED?
An Assessment of the 9/11 Truth Movement

Five years ago--on my birthday--the shadow government of the United States murdered over 3,000 of its own citizens (and hundreds of others) in a "false flag" operation designed to galvanize public support behind a war for control of the world's last remaining energy reserves. Many of us quickly saw through the "big lie" of 9/11 and began a movement to expose it, to reveal the truth, in the hopes that this would bring an end to the War on Terror, a war destined--if it continues--to turn nuclear.

And now, five years later, what have we accomplished?

In short, everything and nothing. We began this movement to convince the American public and the world that the official story of 9/11 was a lie, and that ruling factions within our own government were the real perpetrators. This we accomplished. Opinion polls conducted over the last two years show that the majority of Americans believe the US government was complicit. We bombarded every mainstream and alternative medium available with information, from Air America to internet blogs. We handed out leaflets in cities and towns across the country, held signs on street corners, wrote letters to everyone we could think of. And you know what? It worked. Today it is rare that I talk to a person who doesn't believe the US government was involved in the attacks in some way. Compared to just two years ago, when people would look at us like we were crazy for suggesting such a thing, this is an amazing success.

Or so it seems. For at the same time, not a single perpetrator of  9/11 has been prosecuted, and the War on Terror continues unabated, as does the endless stream of lies and propaganda designed to keep us fearful and compliant. Why this discrepancy? What accounts for the 9/11 Truth Movement's seeming victory in shattering the American public's blind acceptance of the official story, and the stark reality that nothing has changed politically? In other words, why, in the midst of total 
success, have we failed?

This is the question I have been asking myself over the last few years. As co-founder of the first national activist organization for 9/11 truth, the 9/11 Visibility Project (http://www.septembereleventh.org), I devoted two full years of my life to building this movement. And to see it grow from a handful of struggling yet dedicated individuals into the enormous yet ultimately ineffective movement it is today, saddens me to no end. 

Thus for me this is not merely an academic question. I mean it honestly: why, in the midst of a seeming total success, have we failed?

The answer to this question, many have concluded, involves the lack of political will of the people of the United States. It is one thing to know the truth, and quite another to act upon that truth. Democracy Now is a case in point. A great many of us have had conversations with Amy Goodman and the other producers of Democracy Now, and they all know the official story of 9/11 is a lie. Yet except for a few segments we forced them to air as a result of our public pressure campaign (where they for the most part ridiculed us), they have chosen not only to ignore 9/11 truth, but to affirm the official story again and again in their programming.

Many other examples can be given, not only from the left media, but from senators, congressmen, Eliot Spitzer, etc. How many of these people know the truth, yet do nothing? (Cynthia McKinney may be the one notable exception). Where is the political will?

But to blame the American people alone for their lack of courage in opposing US imperialism fails to ultimately answer the question, for we must also ask why such a lack of courage exists in the first place.

Certainly it isn't a lack of courage in general. The American population regularly demonstrates great courage and political will when it comes to social and domestic issues. And neither do I believe, as some cynical observers claim, that the majority of Americans secretly support US imperialism, that given the choice they would rather see millions of innocent foreigners die than reduce their own oil consumption and powerdown. If such was the case, there would have been no need for a 9/11, and there would be no need for the ongoing lies and deceptions.

Simply citing the lack of political will among the American public thus
begs the question, for the answer we seek is exactly that which accounts for this lack of courage when facing the truth of 9/11.

Here is my assessment. The reason for the discrepancy between what people know about 9/11 and what they are willing to do to stop the War on Terror; the reason we have ultimately failed, in other words, has to do with the scope and sophistication of the political and social control mechanisms used against us; namely, disruption and disinformation. I have been an activist for 20 years, and I have seen and experienced COINTELPRO-style disruption many times in the past. Yet never before have I witnessed it used on such a scale and with such precision as I have within the
9/11 Truth Movement. There are thousands of examples, but let me give you just a few.

1. When we launched our Democracy Now campaign, we asked activists and the general public to send them emails requesting they have David Ray Griffin on their show. We provided a sample letter, but encouraged people to write their own, and we asked them always to be polite. We also provided them the email addresses to send their letters, and we included our own email address in the mix, so we could see what kinds of letters Democracy Now was receiving. What happened was very telling. For every two or three emails they received that were respectful and well-written, they received one that was either highly insulting, vehemently anti-semitic, or down-right ludicrous. The timing and repetitive use of specific phrases among many of these emails revealed a coordinated effort to disrupt our campaign and convince Democracy Now not to associate with us.

2. When we launched our campaign to get the attorney General of New York State, Eliot Spitzer, to open a new investigation into 9/11, we began an online petition drive and received thousands of signatures. Shortly after our campaign website went up, another website was launched duplicating our campaign and promoting preposterous claims designed to make the 9/11 Truth Movement appear ridiculous. Thus a clear message was sent to Eliot Spitzer that opening a new investigation into 9/11 could easily destroy his reputation by associating with people who believe, among other nonsense, that the planes on 9/11 were merely holograms inserted onto TV  screens.

And these are just examples of reactive disruption efforts (in response to things we do), which aren't even the primary methods they use against us.

Controlling Your Opposition by Becoming It

One lesson the shadow government has learned over the last 40 years is that the best way to defeat your opposition is to become your opposition, and like many of those phony socialist and anti-war groups on college campuses that suck rebellious student energy and dissipate it ineffectively, preventing the formation of a legitimate, effective
opposition, so have they taken over a large part of the 9/11 Truth Movement itself, channeling new skeptics (and old) into endless debates around physical evidence and other ineffective actions. During my entire time within the movement, I never once named publicly any individuals or websites I thought were intentionally promoting disinformation, or leading us down useless avenues, nor will I now. (This is to protect myself from reprisals, to avoid the further disruption caused by the endless cycle of
"snitch jacketing," and because you can never really prove who is an agent and who is simply duped by the disinfo itself, much of which is easily believable on the surface.)


But to prove that agents are among us, and that they have succeeded in taking over the bulk of the movement, one needs to go no further than compare the number of people who believe no plane hit the Pentagon with the number of people who know about the simultaneous wargames that were taking place on the morning of 9/11, 
and that prevented NORAD from intercepting the planes before they hit their targets.

The former claim, widely believed, is perhaps the most successful and sophisticated disinformation campaign injected into the 9/11 Truth Movement. Supported by doctored video footage released by the Pentagon itself, it has almost single-handedly made the movement the laughing stock of Washington DC residents, hundreds of whom saw the plane hit the building, and thousands of whom have relatives or friends who did.

And this was likely its intention, for it has successfully alienated from the movement precisely those DC professionals (senators, congressmen, federal judges, prosecutors, etc.) who hold enough power to effectively investigate and prosecute the crime. It has also been the primary wedge used to divide the movement from itself. While there is no space here to delve into the details of the "no plane at the Pentagon" hoax, I am forever indebted to Mark Robinowitz for having the stubborn  persistency to keep challenging me back when I, too, believed the hoax. I am also
immensely grateful to Jim Hoffman for his unparalleled analysis of the
Pentagon physical evidence (http://911research.wtc7.net/pentagon).

On the other hand, the wargames comprise the very heart of the operation. On the morning of 9/11 itself, the FAA and NORAD were occupied in air defense drills simulating none other than multiple airline hijackings. These drills included fake blips inserted onto their radar screens, as well as remotely controlled aircraft in the air posing as passenger jets.

Thus the perpetrators of 9/11 (those overseeing the wargames) were able to incapacitate the US air defense system without having to order a stand-down, allowing the operation to succeed. Because of the wargames, NORAD personnel did not know where to send the fighter jets when the supposedly "real" hijackings took place (likely also being flown by remote control). They acknowledged this during the 9/11 Commission hearings, with no follow-up questioning of course.

How many people have heard of the wargames compared to the "no plane at the Pentagon" theory? How many 9/11 Truth websites make reference to the wargames compared with the Pentagon hoax? And how many 9/11 truth activist organizations do you know emphasizing the wargames as opposed to all the various physical evidence arguments? The answer to these questions will tell you a lot about the state of the movement, and who really controls it. (Incidentally, the world should be forever indebted to Mike Ruppert, who put the pieces together about the wargames and presented them in their proper light, first on stage to a small audience in Toronto, which included myself, and then in full detail in his book, Crossing the Rubicon.)

So we shouldn't place all the blame upon those individuals who willfully ignore the truth of 9/11. Certainly there is an element of cowardice involved, a lack of integrity, and a selling out. We know, for example, that Democracy Now received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Ford Foundation specifically to report on 9/11. But what would happen to Democracy Now if Amy Goodman chose integrity over money? The same thing, perhaps, that happened to Mike Ruppert?(http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/  081606_burning_bridge.shtml)

This is not to excuse Goodman's willful ignorance, her selling out to the very government she professes to oppose. (I don't listen to her show anymore, but I read From The Wilderness every day.) I simply want to recognize the immense power of that government, a power that can murder 3,000 people and get away with it, a power that can induce good activists to sell out, and better ones to flee the country. (Living to fight another day is not so condemnable, after all.) Herein lies an important factor in our failure.

More About Disinformation

One of the characteristics of 9/11 disinformation a lot of people have a hard time grasping is that much of it is designed specifically to convince people of US government complicity in 9/11. This might seem like a contradiction, until one understands that 9/11 disinfo is part of a broader system of mass manipulation where the opposing perspective plays an essential role. The basic idea is to control both sides of the debate, and frame it in a way that makes the opposing side ineffective (not necessarily unbelievable). In the end it doesn't matter whether even a majority of the people believe the US government was complicit in 9/11 (this is already the case). What matters is only that the perpetrators can never successfully be prosecuted. Thus they pollute the body of evidence with red herrings and false lines of inquiry. If, in the process, they happen to cause some people to disbelieve the official story (as in the case with the "no plane at the Pentagon" hoax), all the better, because the end result is a weakening of any legal case that might be brought against them.

There is an important quote by E. Martin Schotz from his book, History
Will Not Absolve Us: Orwellian Control, Public Denial, and the Murder of President Kennedy. It is: "One of the primary means of immobilizing the American people politically today is to hold them in a state of confusion in which anything can be believed and nothing can be known."  Conspiracy theories, in other words, provide the perfect cover for real conspiracies. When anything can be believed because the available information is a convoluted mix of truth, falsehood and probability; when the actual truth itself is convoluted, involving deception, mystery and illusion; then one is ultimately left to their own emotions to decide. And emotions, of course, can be easily manipulated. What do you *want* to believe?  After all, it's up to you. You'll never know the truth, or at least you'll never be able to prove it in a court of law. Do you really want to be marginalized and ridiculed as a conspiracy theorist? You get the idea.

The World Trade Center Collapse: A Necessary Illusion

In my two years of 9/11 truth activism, I never emphasized the physical evidence. I always knew it was a dead end that would suck the movement's energy and accomplish nothing. But let me be straight up for a moment, if a bit speculative, because thinking about these things is helpful. 

They demolished the World Trade Center towers with explosives. I have no doubt
about this, just as I have no doubt that the planes were flown by remote control. I also believe that hijackers did, in fact, board the planes {despite the articles claiming some of those named are still alive). I think the hijackers were trained US operatives (patsies), and that they likely did not know they were going to die. I also think the most probable explanation for the shoot-down of flight 93 is that the passengers did, in fact, storm the cockpit, only to discover that the plane was being flown by remote control. And so in order to prevent any of them from calling their loved ones and blabbing (yes, phones can work on planes), they had to shoot it down. Or perhaps the hijackers themselves learned their real fate and allowed the passengers into the cockpit to try to regain control of the aircraft. We'll never really know, and this is the idea.  "Anything can be believed," and so it is equally plausible, as others have
speculated, that the shoot-down of Flight 93 was planned from the beginning.

But the World Trade Center demolition is obvious, which leads to an important question: why did they do it? Wouldn't simply crashing the planes into the buildings have been enough? Why bring them down completely? The typical responses here apply: They needed their "New Pearl Harbor," a mass casualty event to shock the public into supporting a retaliatory war. They also needed a spectacle that wouldn't be easily forgotten. These explanations are true enough. Another often cited and
plausible one is that they needed to make the lie obvious enough that the people who mattered (government, corporate, and military leaders, for example) would know that they--the secret government within the government--did this and got away with it. This sends a powerful message of invincibility to anyone who might be thinking of opposing them. 

And the fact that they demolished building 7 later that evening in a classic-style
demolition sure seems to support that argument. It's as if they were saying, "just in case you didn't get it the first time, we'll show you one even more obvious."

But there is another reason they demolished the World Trade Center towers, in my opinion the most important reason, which is that they needed the lie to be incredible. As Hitler and Goebbels understood, the bigger and more incredible the lie, the more people will believe it, because they will have to make a bigger psychological leap in order to disbelieve it. 

Mass manipulation of this kind plays on the natural desire many people have to
conform, and it is much more difficult, psychologically, for the conforming individual to disbelieve a popularly-held incredible lie than a mundane one, for to do so would set one widely apart from the herd.  To put this another way, imagine if they had merely crashed four planes into the ocean. How much easier it would be then for people to speculate that the government may have done this as a pretext for war. To do so would not require a really incredible contradiction of the official story, marginalizing oneself from the mainstream. It would not be so easy to dismiss such claims as "outrageous conspiracy theory," and ridicule would be less effective. What is important to remember here is that propaganda of this sort is not designed to fool critical thinkers, but to provide conforming individuals with a reason not to start thinking critically.

Thus the total destruction of the World Trade Center in such a dramatic yet obvious way was, in my opinion, an essential, psychological component of the operation.

Note: I have assumed that the reader of this article has some familiarity with the 9/11 Truth movement, and at least a rudimentary understanding of the physics involved in the World Trade Center Collapse. Steven Jones is a professor of physics at BYU, who has risked his reputation to challenge the government's official "pancake" theory of the collapse. A
sincere and courageous academic who dared to come forward with the truth, he has
subsequently been approached by less honest persons who many believe are trying to tarnish his reputation, in part by association with repugnant, anti-semitic viewpoints. And Kevin Ryan is a former lab manager at Underwriters Labs, the company that tested and certified the steel used in the World Trade Center. He was fired when he went public with information about the cover-up in a whistle-blowing letter we first published in November of 2004. Conclusion

I felt bad afterwards because there were a lot of new and enthusiastic 9/11 truth
activists in the audience, folks who had only recently broke free from the
matrix, so to speak, and I basically told them that I felt the movement was over, that we had failed, and that the window of opportunity for obtaining justice for 9/11 was closed for good. While I still believe this, after my talk I realized I didn't leave any of these new activists with much hope.

I want to try and do that now. Yet I don't want to reaffirm a false hope that the perpetrators of 9/11 will ever be prosecuted. Rather, I want to try to help people transcend and integrate the truth of 9/11 into a broader awareness of the state of the world today, a world where there is much to be hopeful about.

The world today stands on the brink of a confluence three major, global crises: peak oil, global warming and the imminent collapse of the global banking system. All of these are inter-related, and have greed as their ultimate cause. Greed is the common human trait of wanting more than one really needs to be healthy and happy. It exists in all of us, to varying degrees. Gluttony, for example, the desire for more food or drink than one really needs, is a form of greed. So is lust. Envy, the desire to have
what others have, is another form of greed. Greed, to put it another way, is the psyche's unquenchable thirst for ever-increasing amounts of material energy. It is the false identification of the Self with the material world, and while I don't want to get overly religious or spiritual here, it is important to understand this, because it allows 
us to empathize with those whom we may perceive as our enemies, those whom we believe are somehow different from us (yet there really is no "other"). It is only with compassion that we can begin to see the true nature of  9/11, the truth behind the truth, so to speak.

 9/11 was a pretext to launch the War on Terror, a war to control the world's remaining energy reserves in order to maintain the over-consumptive lifestyle that Dick Cheney insists is "not negotiable." And the War on Terror was conceived in response to peak oil, which threatens to end the current system of corporate greed, over-consumption
and exploitation. That system requires ever-increasing amounts of  material energy to continue, and peak oil is nothing less than the end of that increase. The War on Terror is, therefore, a war on "terra" to maintain the illusion of perpetual growth, the myth that over-consumption can go on forever. It is an extreme manifestation of the ego's desperate attempt to live forever, and it is doomed to fail. The earth is finite, and we cannot continue to to deplete its energy forever.

This can be seen as a crisis, which certainly it is, but it is only so in the sense that it demands a transformation of our political and economic systems, our consumption-based lifestyles, and our self-identities. As such it is also an opportunity, an opportunity to transcend our own greed, to face the truth of who we really are (interconnected with everyone else, and with the earth), and to make the necessary and inevitable sacrifices required of us. (Remember that sacrifice is not the giving up of the things we need. It is the giving up of the things we don't need, including our illusions.)

The neocons are so far unable to make this necessary transformation. They are trapped in the very system they have created, but there are those all across the planet who are trying, starting small and making some of the necessary sacrifices. People are struggling everywhere to create cooperative institutions of mutual aid and solidarity, to resist the forces of ignorance and greed. One needs look no further then the Bolivarian Revolution sweeping across Central and South America to understand this. And there are many people here in the US, as well, exerting the same efforts, implementing a powerdown strategy and working towards the re-localization of social and political institutions.

The question lies in whether the forces of light (reason, compassion, truth) will overcome the forces of darkness (greed, fear, ignorance), whether the spirit of the Bolivarian Revolution will sweep over the world, or whether the neocons and their counterparts in other countries will sweep the world away. This is up to us to decide, both collectively and individually, and we are constantly making that decision every 
moment, in every action we undertake. In that light, let us always remember that we
can't really fight fire with fire. We fight fire with water, and to the degree that we have failed thus far to end the War on Terror, is to the degree that we have based our own actions--our own activism--on anger or fear. I am no exception, and yet like many, I aspire.

HA HA. Except that this time, people will REALLY BE DEAD -- NOT funny! Another 9/11 style attack where the AMERICAN TRAITORS KILL AMERICANS THEY WERE SWORN TO PROTECT. {NOT Ay-rabs or Muslims!
