I posted this on the Seattle Occupy Non-Violence {NV} Group Facebook page:

{heh, heh, I expect controversy no doubt!}.

I avoided the morning march that turned violent {and yes, destroying windows and automobiles IS DEFINITELY violent, and is perceived that way by the Public, ALWAYS perceived that way by the Public, no matter what anybody SAYS in "justification"}.

In the afternoon, I joined the march to Seattle Center, non-violent as far as I could see. I WAS CARRYING THE ABOVE SIGN. I got LOTS and LOTS of favorable comments on it from passers-by! And my sign's picture taken a LOT. So many people told me AT LENGTH why they approved of my sign!

Chris Hedges is indeed correct: "The Black Bloc is the CANCER of the Occupy Movement".
I believe, that the BEST WAY TO FIGHT THE BLACK BLOCK, WHICH IS DESTROYING ALL WE STAND FOR -- is with RIDICULE and INTENSE, CONCENTRATED SOCIAL DIS-APPROVAL.
Words like DUPES, IDIOTS, COWARDS, IMMATURE, IRRESPONSIBLE, ADOLESCENT -- take away from that "cool, macho" image they THINK they are projecting.
To take them on their OWN terms, as "big and bad and tough", is NOT the way to move them.
Tell them that BREAKING WINDOWS IS A SEXUAL RELEASE FOR THEM {which it most certainly IS!}.
Tell them {and the rest of us!} that they are EITHER SLAVES TO THE CORPORATIONS {if they are paid agents provocateurs}, or DUPES IF THEY FOLLOW THE LEAD OF THE SLAVES -- AGENTS PROVOCATEURS.
After all, an agent provocateur NEVER NEVER YET has advocated PEACEFUL protest! That tells you something! Those who advocate for violent methods, are NO DIFFERENT from the police agents -- ONLY their MOTIVES are different; their ACTIONS are EXACTLY THE SAME; and that is what the Public perceives, ONLY THE ACTIONS.
EITHER SLAVES OR DUPES. Those who advocate violence, NECESSARILY fall into ONE OF THOSE TWO CAMPS. There is no other way for them.
This should become a MEME of the Occupy Movement. How we FRAME things is important.
RIDICULE, LAUGHTER, DIS-RESPECT -- and NOT "fear" of their violence, that just FEEDS their inflated childish egos!
