Introduction:

I Emmanuel Nethala, represents Grace Children’s Orphanage, as Vice-President and Correspondent, take the pleasure in presenting a brief report of the orphanage, located in AMALAPURAM, East Godavary District, Andhra Pradesh, South India. This orphanage is started in 1996 by Pastor N. J. David Raju, as the Founder President. This organization has been registered in the A.P. Government and we received the registered Charity Number 1998/423, Rajahmundry. Ever since this ministry is running on hope and faith in the Lord and it has been successfully catering to the needs of the orphan children and in addition the widows. We Praise God for His marvelous and miraculous way. It is an amazing experience to serve the deprived children and destitute widows.

At present we have 47 orphan children out of which we have 31 boys and 16 girls. They are all lovely and wonderful children but they come from the lowest economical background and poorest status.

Hereunder, we are giving the details for your information and activation as it is we do not have regular sponsors for these children which makes us worried because the days are so bad that cost of living has become three times or four times increased in prices. In a crucial times where things have become dear we postrate before God pleading Him to provide us means for the children and widows. The Lord is so gracious in caring for these unfortunate beautiful children and the widows in the orphanage. Nevertheless, we need your prayers. Your prayers will work wonders in supplying the needs for our ministry I know, and confidently say dear brother and dear Sister, we want you to sponsor at least one or two children at your choice because it will cost you only  $32 per month for each child.

For your choice the details and photos of the children are giving hereunder:

School Buildings in India

  •    Many of the children do not have class rooms, no desks, no chalk boards
  •  Children have to attend school out side while sitting on the ground.

Activities of the Orphanage:

Many of the children, Grace Children's Orphanage cares for, have lost one or both of their parents due to the harsh climates of India. India is highly susceptible to natural calamities, that happen often.
Disasters like cyclones, floods, fire, road accidents, etc., where the children loose their parents and have no one to take care of them.

Other children loose just one of their parents in these disasters and end up becoming very poor. The orphanage extends care for these children in one parent families, too.

If a cyclone were to hit the little school building, how many of those children do you suppose would survive?

From a synopsis done by IndiaOneStop.com, India has the world’s largest number of poor people. Out of nearly 1 billion population, an estimated 300 – 400 million are below the poverty line, 75 % of them living in rural areas.

Grace Children’s Orphanage helps below poverty line children in their community and surrounding areas, by helping them to attend school. With out a good education many of these children will end up either child laborers working in sweat shops or as prostitutes and being exploited for sex. Who should have to live this way?
In India impoverished families are so poor they can’t even afford to by their children a note book for school. A note book costs less than one rupee. Many of the children that do attend school do not have the proper attire and usually have no shoes. Grace Children’s Orphanage provides many of the items these children need to be able to attend school; Paper, pencils, pens, clothing, shoes and the list goes on.

Help for area Widows:

Grace Children’s Orphanage has a special fund for widow’s in their area and surrounding villages. At present they are sponsoring 100 widow’s from 10 villages. They give these widows $5.00 a month to help them pay for food and medicine. They also conduct a Widow’s Fellowship meeting every 6 months, in different places, to ascertain their well-being and meet any emergencies the women may have. The orphanage also distributes clothing, personal care items and household goods like laundry detergent and dish soap to the widows.

Please get involved, and help us to help them make a difference in their part of the world.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. James 3:17-18
