A lot of Christian preachers and teachers fail to realize that the manner and swiftness with which God delivers salvation and righteousness to those who believe in His Son Jesus are as important as the free gifts of salvation and righteousness themselves. This is exactly what Romans 10:6-10 is telling us. Saints, the delivery of these massive Calvary benefits is immediate for all of those who believe in the Savior. Faith does not have to grow or evolve in order for a person to be saved. And no intervening works have to be performed.

Therefore, in reference to righteousness Paul writes in Romans 4:16, “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace.” It is indeed only a small leap to then realize that if God grants salvation and righteousness by faith--in order that He might accord them by faith—He also grants them immediately.

In the Sermons on Wave VIII Grace The Immediacy and Surety of Salvation we discuss at length the fact that the grace in the gifts of salvation and righteousness is inextricably linked to the grace which is also in God’s system of speedy delivery of salvation and righteousness. Moreover, when God sees faith in His Son, why would He drag His feet in saving a person?

Therefore, let the many Christian preachers and teachers continue to say to the unsaved, “You can be saved right now.”

“You can be saved this morning.”

“You can be saved in a twinkling.”

“Just accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God."

I don’t think the Israelites will like this book, at least not at first, and I find that hurtful. If I could have selected the race into which I was born, I would have chosen the Jewish race. Shortly, I will tell you why. But do I hate my own race? God forbid. But the Israelites will not like hearing another Christian preacher say of them and to them that they are spiritually lost, that is, they are not reconciled to the Father.

Then why do I wish I had been born a Jew? Let me first say that the identity problem is solved. Truthfully, it was never a problem for me for a large part of my life. Even when I was forced to realize that I, too, was not at peace with God, I never thought that it would be better off to have been born a Jew. I did not war with God on this. I chose His Son Jesus to be my Savior instead.

Saints, finding God’s easy but abundant way to salvation, righteousness, and eternal life through Jesus Christ is so vital. It is so vital that, if you could be born into a racial group guaranteed such privileges, you should choose this election. For this is the position of the Jew. Moreover, given the wrath of God to one day be finally unleashed upon the unrighteous, it is just too “o.k.” to desire to be born secure from that wrath and into the certainty of inheriting free righteousness and life eternal. Saints, though he is presently without God, this is the present position of the Israelites. Is it a beautiful sight that he is not presently saved? God does not think so and neither did His servant Paul.
