It has come to my attention that a lot of people place a lot of emphasis on the book Eat Right for Your Type by Peter D'Adamo which explains that foods varies according to ones' blood type. But someone needs to tell Dr. D'Adamo that he is totally missing the point. It's not about the blood type, it is about the color of your eyes. Eyes are the mirror of the soul. They make us unique. We should totally look at the eyes when choosing which foods to eat.

The Los Angeles Weekly newspaper from July 27-August 2 featured an article about the fur ban in West Hollywood. The article interviewed the people behind the seemingly successful fur ban: an animal activist named Ellen Lavinthal and John D'Amico, the mayor of West Hollywood.

The first passion I ever had in my life was Star Trek. That show with the silly costumes and the weird aliens contained so much intelligence that people were able to go beyond the 60's hairstyles and the flashy uniforms to get to the message. It helped me when my parents were fighting, gave me an escape from being an isolated teen, you name it. Star Trek taught me about ethics, tolerance, etc... Many fans can relate. Star Trek fans, in fact, were my first "family". They took me in and accepted me, therefore reducing my own social alienation and I met my first Vegetarian and Vegan friends. That was the early 90s.

Here are the pictures for the Fur Free Friday protest in Los Angeles. We were part of a world rally and had about 100 people. We gave Neiman-Marcus a serious hard time, all in a peaceful fashion of course. What a wonderful experience.

 As the USDA themselves have admitted "The National Organic Standards call for the Administrator of AMS (USDA Agricultural Marketing Service) to appoint members of a Peer Review Panel to evaluate the NOP¹s adherence to its accreditation procedures and its accreditation decisions." It's time for the USDA to stop dragging their heels and begin the public process to set up an organic community "Peer Review Panel," so can we can start policing organic standards ourselves.

Please sign my petition to get Mayor VILLARAIGOSA to impose recycle bins for BOTTLES & CANS on all Major stores in LOS ANGELES. He is starting a lot of green initiatives (already have PLASTIC bags recycle bins in front of stores) and he needs to hear from Los Angeles people and everybody else that the City should also initiate a bigger Recycling program when it comes to bottles and cans. Thanks
