I just saw a sneak preview of the incredible film Ice Bears of the Beaufort. It took director Arthur C. Smith 5 years to make the film which showcases critical polar bear habitat which is endangered by efforts to drill for oil. Following Chinese tradition, the San Diego Zoo, waited for the baby panda to be 100 days old then gave him a name. The name chosen out of over 6,300 suggestions is Yun Zi (YUHN’-zih), which is Chinese for “Son of Cloud.” Here’s a photo of the ceremony naming 3-month-old Yun Zi… . Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell continues the fight against the federal government’s expanded protection for polar bears like his predecessor, Sarah Palin.
