Truthdig Radio: The Death of Troy Davis
"Dave Zirin and Mike Farrell on the Death of Troy Davis" -- On Wednesday’s Truthdig Radio in collaboration with KPFK, in the hours before the execution of Troy Davis, Mike Farrell and Dave Zirin discussed what Zirin called a “legal lynching.” Also: L.A.'s labor battle and the politics of Hollywood.

Capital Punishment By Country....It turns out that the USA is about the ONLY civilized country left that kills people 'legally'. Everyone else has made murdering people illegal, except for Communist China, some African countries and some Middle Eastern countries like Libya and dictators like North Korea.. We are in good company, if you count good company as dictators and despots.

In the US, some states have also abolished the death penalty. Hopefully this trend will continue.
