Are these firms too big to fail, and too influential with politicians to successfully prosecute ANYONE?

If this is allowed to go on, and no one is held accountable, what does the future hold for other veterans, much less the public?

It seems that this fraud went on in a very large number of banks, and for quite awhile.

Who is supposed to be watching for this fraud?

Who is in charge of investigating it?

Who is in charge of fines, penalties, criminal charges, etc?

http://realestate.bryanellis.com/5395/13-banks-accused-of-defrauding-veterans-treasury/

This is on top of the robo signing scandal and fraud.

That is on top of the scandal about secretly printing up TRILLIONS and sending it out to foreign banks, via the Federal Reserve, which has not been audited, and maybe never will be.

That is on top of Fort Knox, which has not been audited since the 1960's. Is there any gold left in there? What are we doing with this gold? What purpose does it have? Why not use it? Who owns it? Who controls it?

Much like the largest corporations getting bailed out during the last financial crisis, and then no one being charged and no one going to jail. Nothing seems to be changing on the legislative side to protect from another crisis from happening. We the people have lost control of our destiny through the normal channels of power.

Corporations seem to be running the whole show. The can break laws at will, raid the public money coffers whenever they want for as much as they want. They can print up money on demand, (in the TRILLION, via a private for profit corporation called the Federal Reserve. They can elect anyone they want, and create laws that favor them against the people's will.

As we move into election season, we wanted to send you a quick update on our big campaign to challenge corporate influence and thank you for your good work!

We started this campaign, at the beginning of the summer, not knowing how many candidates we'd be able to get to commit to our effort and believing that only a massive grassroots effort would make this campaign possible. Thanks to your incredible work, that campaign has blown away this summer's goals.

In fact, nearly 200 candidates and members of Congress, along with 500,000 individuals, have endorsed the Fight Washington Corruption pledge—our three-part blueprint to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, enact publicly-financed elections, and reduce the influence of lobbyists in Washington.

Thanks in part to our work together, corporate lobbying and influence have become increasingly important themes in the election. Just last week, for example, The New York Times ran a front-page profile of Republican leader John Boehner focused on his links to corporate lobbyists1. And candidates like Paul Hodes in New Hampshire have come out with new plans to shut the revolving door between government and industry2.

Meanwhile, though, the problem is only getting worse. In the wake of Citizens United, corporate interests are spending an astounding $400 million to buy the election for Republicans3. Which is why our focus between now and November needs to be on supporting the candidates who've stood up against corporate influence, and beating back the hostile corporate takeover of Congress!

Succeeding in this election will be tough, but thanks to the amazing work that you and other MoveOn members did on this campaign over the summer we now have a solid foundation for taking on these Republicans and the corporations behind them. We'll be in touch soon with ways you can get involved in the election your area, but for now, thank you for your commitment to this campaign and to our cause.

Ron Paul continues to deliver his message. Maybe that's because he actually has something to say and it committed to it. A rarity in US politics.

Catherine Austin Fitts was Assistant Secretary of Housing under George H.W. Bush.

She has an extremely sophisticated understanding of how the world's financial system works right down to the "inconvenient truth" that revenues from the illegal drug business are essential for propping up the big money market banks. (Not a theory. Proven over and over again in criminal court trials.)

Fitts' well thought out ideas about exactly what needs to be done to put the American economy powerfully back on course were not welcome in the crime-friendly Bush administration and she was driven from government.

In this fascinating interview, she talks about where things are ultimately headed, the the true nature of the threat we face, and what we can do to turn things around.

Absolutely must listening.
