Did you hear? They are opening a brand new nursery school only 25 KM from the melted through Fukushima plant.. http://enenews.com/watch-nursery-school-opens-25km-from-fukushima-meltdowns-video/comment-page-1#comment-173376
The DAILY release from Fukushima is estimated at 13 Trillion Bq per day.  With plastic cover over unit #1 it is now down to 10 Trillion Bq per day, as long as filter is working well and taking out up to 90% of the total airborne radiation, according to Arnie Gunderson.

http://fairewinds.com/content/update-gundersen-if-you-love-planet-dr-hellen-caldicott

But, this is also nothing new.

“Between 125,000 and 150,000 square kilometres of land in Belarus, Russia and the Ukraine were contaminated to levels requiring the evacuation of people or the imposition of serious restrictions such as land use and food production. The land area affected is roughly equivalent to the area of Bangladesh, or nearly five times the size of the
Netherlands. At the time of the accident, 7 million people (including 3 million children) were living in these areas. About 350,000 of them were resettled or left the affected area.”
http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/Global/international/publications/nuclear/2011/Chernobyl%2025%20Years%20factsheets.pdf
So if 7 million people were supposed to be evacuated, but only 350,000 were, that leaves around 6,650,000 people left in highly contaminated areas, just in Russia.
Now the same thing is happening in Japan. Guess what, this also happened in the USA...

This situation of exposing millions of people to high levels of radiation that causes death and diseases is nothing new.. Simi Valley in the US had a major meltdown of a reactor with major radiation release that had millions of people living around it. It was completely covered up and hidden.

Now add the Simi Valley and two MORE reactor meltdowns in the US that were also covered up, plus all of the nuclear testing where veterans were marched right into the blast crater or on ships into a blast zone, and you end up with a rather brutal expose…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6pt78_xnqdY

NO ONE CARES what kind of radiation you are exposed to, what suffering you will endure or how soon you will die. If you don't care and take action, NO ONE ELSE WILL EITHER, and your kids certainly will not, because they do not know.

So maybe we should celebrate that they are not opening 100 new nursery schools near FUKU. Maybe we should celebrate that they are not relocating people by FORCE, from Tokyo to Fukushima province. The Japanese government is asking people to ‘come back’ voluntarily to Fukushima province. It is hard for me to comprehend how many people are coming back to a highly contaminated area, with ongoing present day active radiation releases that are breathtaking in amount, with lots of warnings from groups like Greenpeace, and the US government, about evacuating further away from the plant, not going closer to it.

I guess there will always be millions more who will die because of things like this, with millions to billions more coming in the near and far, far distant future of radioactive fallout, plus an average of one major 'accident' every 30 years.

In July 2011, the video journalist interviews a nuclear expert, who talks about reports regarding radioactive steam coming out of the ground around the Fukushima plant in Japan. There have been three confirmed melt downs and three confirmed melt thoughs, although TEPCO resists admitting any molten fuel has left the bottom containment vessel. . The reactor vessel itself has failed in at least one case, and most probably all three or more reactors at Fukushima.

According to this expert, the melted radioactive core(s) burned through the reactor vessel, then the containment vessel, then the cement floor of the building, and then burned into the earth. At least one of these molten blobs has reached groundwater, so says this expert.

The amount of radiation coming out of the ground in the form of radioactive steam is off scale for instruments that only measure up to 10 sieverts per hour, which is equal to one Million millirem per hour. He says 1,000 REM are coming out of cracks. These are doses that can kill within days.

The US NRC allows us to be exposed to 100 millirem per year, from sources such as Xrays, etc. The ground steam consists of 1,000,000 millirem per HOUR. Multiply that out per 24 hours and then by 365 days and you start to see how much radiation that is per YEAR.

They are starting to build tents over these destroyed buildings, but this is desperation. The radiation is coming up from cracks around the plant, outside of the tents. It is much more out of control than they want to admit.

The government and TEPCO still will not admit to any nuclear explosions. They say only hydrogen explosions happened, and NO NUCLEAR FUEL LEFT THE BUILDINGS. However, the US NRC has admitted that nuclear fuel fragments that were found over 1 mile away did not come from explosions from spent fuel pools. According to NRC they were ejected from nuclear core(s) at Fukushima.

The expert says that the first thing that is controlled in a nuclear accident is the information. There is a huge lag time of months before the real truthful information comes out, if it does at all.

He continues by saying that the news blackout about the Fukushima meltdowns and ongoing crisis is crafted by a global nuclear industry that controls the media and airwaves. We are completely dependent on independent bloggers and websites, not mass media, where bad news comes out first.

Source of above info; video above… roughly transcribed and some additions.. not exact quotes.

The China Syndrome movie explores how a nuclear melt through may happen. Since a China Syndrome never happened before in real life, no one really knows for absolutely guaranteed for sure what will happen. Chernobyl got close, but that melt through stopped several floors below the nuclear reactor.

The worst case Fukushima scenario is a huge nuclear/hydrogn explosion that makes the entire plant out of bounds for any humans, due to too high radiation levels. This means more disasters from the other plants and spent fuel pools nearby, as they go into worst case mode as well. The worst case is a global life extinction event with no one living through it, and no place to hide.

TEPCO and the Japanese government are saying that the temperatures of all melted core material in ALL reactors and spent fuel pools is dropping and is close to ‘cold shutdown’ levels.

But is it really? They also admit along with the above statement, that they might not be measuring the actual molten core material temperatures, because they might have left the containers where the temperature monitoring equipment is. In this case, the temperature probes may only be measuring an empty container, while the 5000C degree 65 ton radioactive fire blob is melting its way down through the ground, many tens of yards below the temperature probes.

Since the latest reports are that no one can get closer than about 100 feet from ANY of the nuclear reactor cores, I do not believe that anyone can really say what is happening YET. We will have to wait for a huge explosion, or possibly just many years of extremely radioactive steam coming out of the ground from multiple out of control underground radioactive fires, or best case, a cold shutdown at the end of 2011… It is anyone’s guess at this point… Maybe a robot can go in and take a few pictures of intact reactors, or bring back photos of holes in them, along with a hole in the ground underneath them. So far, no pictures either…

Arnie Gunderson is saying nuclear fuel has NOT left the container around the reactor YET. He says the China Syndrome cannot happen. He does not think a steam explosion can happen. We will see.. High radiation levels from a corium blob going down through the ground cannot be hidden, at least not for long, and neither can an underground steam/corium explosion that makes the whole site unworkable for humans. Either radiatin levels will continue to go up in Japan, due to melted corium in the ground radioactive steam emissions, or they will drop, due to 'cold shutdown'.

Bad news? Water is contacting the melted cores, and this water then contains uranium, plutonium, cesium, strontium, etc. That water is LEAKING OUT and vapor is also leaving the site, with who knows how much radiation. How much of this radiation is going up the huge stacks? How much is going into groundwater? How much is going into the ocean? How much radiation is just leaking out daily, period?

This contaminated water is in all of the basements of the buildings. This water is being &lsquourified’ so some water can be reused. The concentrated waste water is being processed and stored in huge tanks on site.

They are building more and more tanks daily. They are running out of room on site to store more contaminated waste products in liquid form, according to Arnie. Are they going to release it into the ocean, after they run out of room?

Also, what he does not mention is the loss of firms willing to work in Fukushima. They started with 35 contractors. Now they are down to 2. Will they still have enough workers to keep going long term? Will the radiation on site increase or decrease over time?

Who will continue to keep paying to clean up this mess for the next few generations, or much, much longer?

What we do know for ABSOLUTELY sure is that the pro nuclear industry has not stepped forward and offered to pay for this mess. They are asking YOU AND I to cover just about all of their risk of doing business, and all of the clean up costs. They are too big to fail, and are asking for welfare. They take the profits, but ask us to cover all their risks, mistakes and corruption caused failures.

Oooooppss, here we go again.

Problems in all Reactors Designed Like Fukushima
http://vimeo.com/29294797

Gundersen expresses concerns that the nuclear industry and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission are not addressing major safety issues that have become evident since Fukushima. These issues include serious design flaws in the BWR Mark 1 containment, fundamental flaws in the Boiling Water Reactor vessel design, and problems with detonation shockwaves.

The NRC and the nuclear industry are using a flawed cost benefit computer code that underestimates the value of human life and minimize property damages after an accident, which has the effect of justifying continued operation of reactors without safety modifications.

Also, Fairewinds announces the launch of the Japanese language version of its site, Fairewinds.jp.

He also talks about how SAMA, or Severe Accident Mitigation Analysis works, and how this is being ignored with Fukushima.

Yokohama, Oct. 15
 — Mochizuki of the Fukushima Diary website is reporting on a June 2011 document that has been “leaked on the internet” which reveals that Plutonium-238, -239, -240, and -241 were released “to the air” from Fukushima Daiichi during the first 100 hours after the earthquake.

The amount of plutonium released is said to be 120 billion Becquerels.

It also states there was a release of 7.6 trillion Becquerels of Neptunium-239.

Mochizuki says this report was made by Tepco for a press conference on June 6 and the media knew and “kept concealing the risk for 7 months and kept people exposed”.
