In recent years the San Diego Juvenile Justice System has been sued and court ordered change and reform. Neither the Governor or San Diego Board of Supervisors has cared enough to resolve the issues  of abuse, and corruption within the system and it's staff. Just recently 36 cases of sexual misconduct was found in the East Mesa Juvenile facility located in Otay Mesa California. Two of the staff resigned and one still being investigated. The juvenile system has failed in screening people who apply for positions within the system. Many letters have been sent to the Board of Supervisors, and to the Chief of probation, with questions and concerns for the juveniles who suffer while incarcerated. No response to the letters of concern or phone calls, other than we sent them to the CEO to review. A phone call came into FACC from a parent who states her son was sitting on the toilet, and while using the toilet was told to go to cover! How could thisd boy go to cover while on thwe toilet?? Th staff pepper sprayed him in the face nine consecutive times! Talk about abuse?? People nothing will change these factors except your help! Let's change who sits in the seats!Even though children and teens make mistakes and wind up in the system, they "DO NOT" need to be physically abused, or sexually abused, or verbally abused by any person, or staff member!
