Netflix is an on demand movie service. You can watch any movie you like out of thousands available. It is like a video store with instant movies of your choice. Netflix is green because it eliminates all driving to go pick out movies. It eliminates all packaging, and all gas spent on sending videos back and forth.

Netflix is also green because it features movies NOT available on mass media channels. It features foreign movies, and activist movies like the ones below. It also features green movies that talk about the real world of renewable energy, how  and why it works, etc. Netflix also features many documentaries and movies about global warming, explaining how and why it is real.

Netflix has over 400 channels, besides offering all of the movies that it has. To access these channels, go to 'Channel Store'. There are recent additions, and I predict more will be added soon, as the on demand Netflix type of business model takes off.

The Channel Store has such things as

Music; free unlimited music from providers such as Pandora
News And Weather
Internet TV
Kids And Family
Science and Technolgoy
Photos and Video
International; including foreign language stations not found on satellite
Religion and Spirituality
Special Interest

This is a product review for Silipint, which I had the pleasure of trying out over the Holidays. This Silipint 'glass' is made out of the same basic materials as glass; namely silica, oxgen, hydrogen and carbon. This is a silicone product, which is rather unique.

Just as glass does not exist in Nature, neither does a silicone product. In this case, the glass I received is called a Silipint.. You will not find any Silipint glasses sitting around in the woods or on the beach, but the ingredients to make these beverage containers come from the same place as those see through glasses we have used for many years; Nature.

Silicone lasts about as long as a glass container does. It does not break down, and it does not break. I tried to break my sample, by dropping it, by throwing in on the ground, tossing it out on a concrete driveway, and it just bounced back. If properly handled, this product (like any silicone product) can be recycled into other silicone products. Recycled silicone based products vary greatly from electronics to lubricant and from medicines to cookware.

After I received this Silipint glass, I tried it first with a cold beverage. In this case, it was lemonade, straight from the refrigerator.  With a standard glass I would have been very cautious taking a glass out of the cupboard. Because of the properties of silicone, I had absolutely no concern about dropping the Silipint before or after filling it. As the Silipint sat there, I noticed that it did not bead up with perspiration like an ordinary glass would. It also seemed to stay cold longer. Perhaps there is some small amount of insulating properties with this silicone product?

The Silipint practically threw itself into the fully loaded dishwasher... Have you ever noticed the noise that glasses make clinking against each other in the dishwasher? That does not happen with a Silipint. The next test was using the Silipint for a hot beverage. In this case I used hot cocoa. With a glass or mug, there is still the risk of dropping it, and the mug or glass heats up rapidly. The Silipint stayed cooler longer as I enjoyed the cocoa. The container never got hot enough to become uncomfortable. The Silipint turns out to have a higher insulation rating than glass, metal or ceramic containers.

Bottom line, the Silipint is a pleasure to use and should last a long time. I would highly recommend using this product.

Dr. Jill Stein, a Green Party candidate for President speaks

Dr. Jill Stein, a Green Party candidate for President, at Occupy the Future in Los Angeles on 12/5/11.

From -- In this first video message from Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate addresses the White House's recent agreements to violate the 6th, 7th, and 8th Amendments to the Constitution, to speed up the timetable on the Keystone Pipeline, and to eliminate the national health care standard. In the message, Dr. Stein says that, "I'm taking about real hope for deep change -- the kind that's breaking out all over. Because so many people like you are standing up and refusing to accept this unprecedented state of inequality, austerity and perpetual war that we're in. Instead, you are demanding the peaceful, just, green future we all deserve. And that's the real source of hope, not only for the holidays -- but for every day, going forward to a better future that's within our reach."

Did you know that there are more than 113,000 registered Greens in California? We welcome all who share the Green Vision. Join us in creating a new (non corporate owned) politics by registering Green Party, voting Green, and living more green.

Did you know that the Green Party accepts no corporate 'donations'? Why waste your vote on any other party?
